Minnesota is going to be good. They're still a little young but very talented (for a big 10 team). They beat Akron 6-0 tonight. Ohio State will be pretty good too. They have one of the top pitchers in the country in Alex Wimmers. Michigan can surprise. After that there's not much to be excited about.

Cal State Fullerton at #4 is especially surprising. I didn't even know they had a football team. :P

Cal State Fullerton and Rice in the top 5 should have been the first clue.

After watching Cal State-Northridge's pitching(xcept their alleged ace) get bashed this afternoon, I wonder about the non-Pac 10(CA) schools that are so highly ranked, and those rankings period.

It's obviously very difficult to predict any college sport but Baseball America usually does a pretty good job with their rankings, Reader.

LSU's RHP Anthony Ranaudo (potential top pick in June's draft) will miss his start tonight because of soreness in his elbow. Ranaudo also missed some time as a freshman with arm trouble. Hopefully this isn't serious and he'll only be out a couple weeks.

Don't beat yourself up. There's no way you could have predicted that anyone would give enough of a shit about college baseball to actually start a thread on this.

You do and they are ranked 10th. I am originally from there, and still get the university sports magazine called Hawgs Illustrated. This lets me know how they are doing on a week to week basis.

Nice. Arkansas is young and were one of the best teams in the country at the end of last season. If they make it through the meatgrinder that is the SEC they have an excellent chance to make it to the CWS.

I hope you are right, they can really hit. As it usually comes down to, it will be on their pitching.

Hawg Ass, your Razorbacks will be on ESPN2 tonight at 6:00pm. They're playing Georgia. I'll be at the bar but I'm hoping to get it one of the TV's along with the Sox and Hawks.
