Opportunity Knocks is a movie starring Dana Carvey as a Con Man. You are thinking of Career Opportunities.

My favorite is Some Kind of Wonderful.

This thread just reminds me how much Jennifer Connelly lost on her "fastball". So sad.

Naked blonde walks into a bar with a poodle under one arm, and a two-foot salami under the other. The bartender says, I guess you won't be needing a drink. Naked lady says...

"Just water please to moisten the salami for anal insertion."
Bartender says: Doesn't that hurt?
Blonde says: "Ask the Poddle!"

Per Legend, BREAKFAST CLUB was based on the Breakfast Club New Trier had for detained students in sports, etc. You could choose to do a 6 AM arrival. 6-8:30 AM might not have made a great movie

Hughes cousin's lived in Winnetka, where he owned a house and lived there on and off. One of Hughes neices best friend was Lily Taylor (also my science partner)

I know a bunch of people that had extra roles in a few of his movies as many were filmed on the North shore in Glencoe and I think in Dr. Ken's House in one? 16 candles, Home Alone, Planes Trains, Bueller, Pretty in Pink.

Uncle Buck was in my elementary school, Jr High, High School, a guys house I used to party in, etc etc.

Agreed. Candy's death left a bad taste in Hughes mouth regarding Hollywood. But alas Hughes star was fading prior to Candy's death.

There is a new Hughes screenplay in the works:

Yeah, Drillbit Taylor was an awful movie. Seth Rogen turned it into Superbad 2. It would be interesting to see what happens with this last screenplay. On the movies he produced, wrote and directed, Hughes was typically more involved than a lot of writers. So depending on who directs the movie I wonder how true to the script it was remain.
