Another slappy little guy is given away. Actually thought he was better than the other bad slappy hitters in Miles and Fontenot, but I guess that doesnt matter anymore. To the Rangers with him!

Hendry shouldn't be trading bubble gum cards, let alone actual players. He's a boob.
I hope Shingles doesn't let him give away any of the young talent in an effort to try to contend this year. This team is going nowhere fast.
My only hope is; Hendry is going somewhere fast.

He was out of options, so this makes sense. His defense was solid, but he couldn't hit.

I just took the opportunity to bitch about Hendry's continuing employment with the team.

I will fully admit that I took up the give Hendry another chance campaign last year. Looking back, it was yet another reason why I shouldnt be commenting on baseball. You do know that the Cubs will make the playoffs this year and Hendry will get an extension he doesnt deserve?

They're not even going to finish third in their division.

What the fuck are you talking about? The only one who said anything negative up until your craptastic post was Reason and he's an old curmudgeony bastart who would complain about morning wake up blowjobs.
Do you have anything to add to this that isn't horseplop?

Wouldn't this require receiving one first?

If anyone knows anything about craptastic horseplop it is you Darko. I will make sure I check with you next time I want to post regarding the Cubs.

You are off target here though RFDC. No one is complaining or bitching about this trade. The only person I ever heard "talk up" Blanco is Harry Teinowitz...and Harry is a fucking moron!

Hendry is actually doing a good job of getting rid of all the AAAA players who have been recently infesting the roster. He traded Fox and Blanco sent down Scales and hopefully Fuld and Hasselhoff are next. It's time to give high ceiling players like Colvin, Castro and Jackson (Jay and Brett) a chance.

I'm starting to think Castro is going to be up sooner rather than later, what with Theriot's lack of range, combined with the prospect of Mike Fontenot as the backup SS should The Riot go down. Blanco was never going to be more than a .250 slappy hitter, but he could at least field his position at a decent level. You can't really describe Theriot, Fontenot, or Baker as above average with the glove. And like last year, if you keep Millar on the team over Tracy, you once again have the aforementioned suspects playing third if Ramirez goes down ...

That is crazy talk :drunken:
The rumor out of Arizona is that Augie Ojeda is available for the right price. Get it done Hendry

Well had you done that I could have saved you the embarassment that was your first post in this thread.
Cubs fans have it hard enough without asswipe comments from you in every thread.
Good DAY sir.

Hes doing a good job getting rid of them, sure. Here is my problem. He got rid of them too late and got nothing for them. They are unable to truly evalute guys they draft. Thankfully all the guys they trade suck when they leave.

The diamond at Wrigley is the only non-blue diamond that Reason likes.

Seriously, lets treat this season honestly. Its a 162 game comedy. Tragicomedy? Sure if you wanna call it that.

Ill be watching the young guys, wondering how Derek Lee will express his annual frustration with fans, and hoping Marmol devolops into a dominant closer.

Yes...this is a very important piece for the Cubs this year and the future. He needs to pound the strike zone early...then he is almost un-hittable.

I didn't even know Henry Blano was still on the team...

Blanco was a decent bench player. Better than Miles, no doubt. But he didn't hit enough to be someone I will regret the team trading. Guys like Blanco are pretty common and he was out of options, so the team needed to trade him or they would have had to release him. I still don't believe that Millar has enough left to warrant a spot on the roster, but Piniella seems to like him.
