Okay how do you feel about the chances as opposed to how you felt before spring training began?

I feel much better. Especially with Ted Lilly coming back April 21stish.

It's looking great for ace setupman Angel Guzman. I really like his chances this year.

I think Bradley is really going to turn it around here and have a great season.

Don't fuck with me spmack, Henry is still on the team, right? I mean if Hendry let him go too then we are surely going to be in the basement of the central, maybe even the whole damn league.

I'm glad that we were the first team to throw millions to Jeff Szamardzjia - I think that investment is looking absolutely brilliant at this point

It's hard to find a good long relief guy these days...

While I'm not silly enough to be giving up on him yet he sure isn't as far along as I thought he'd be.

I actually saw a site that was wondering if we are more likely to see him be a Bear or Cub in 2012.

Well, now I'm feeling better about my statement  wanted to highlight the most important part of it up there, though.

the cubs will be just good enough to have everyone saying "Buy! Buy!" instead of "Sell! Sell!" at the trade deadline, and thats a bad thing.

Worse....Before spring training, I had some hope that a move or two would be made to shore up the bullpen. But no moves were made and the bullpen looks like it could be a disaster. In the first few weeks (until lilly returns...if he indeed comes back around the 19th-23rd) of the season, the Cubs are really likely to stress out a very suspect bullpen, with Silva and Gorzellany going in the 4th and 5th spots in the rotation. By the time the rotation goes back to the top and Zambrano has his start there, it's going to be really crucial that he goes DEEP into the game, as the bullpen is likely gonna need some rest. This bullpen scares me. Just imagine if Marmol were to get hurt....who would close???? Grabow? Caridad? ....those guys are shaky as set-up guys. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this bullpen is gonna be a real problem.

I don't draw conclusions on the team based on meaningless spring training games.

What team is going to trade dependable setup men in spring training? Perhaps they could have acquired a guy who was being pushed into a lesser role, but I don't think they were going to acquire a guy who everyone would say was a guy who would shore up the bullpen.

I agree with you that the bullpen is the team's biggest question mark - we don't know what any of these guys are going to do, but I don't know that there are many guys available that would have shored up the bullpen.

This is the only question a Cubs fan should be asking at this point:

Are the Cubs going to win the World Series this year?

I think it's safe to say the answer is no.
