A motorcyclist from Summit who was killed when he lost control and slammed into a truck late Wednesday in the Clearing neighborhood on the Southwest Side has been identified.


About 11:30 p.m. a man riding a motorcycle lost control and was killed when he crashed into a truck parked in the 6300 block of South Harlem Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

Miguel Angel Mora, 28, of 7416 W. 57th St., of southwest suburban Summit, was dead on the scene, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.


No one was in the truck at the time of the accident, Greer said.


An autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday.
