Sure they may act like douchebags from time to time (Especially Liam) but I've been on a kick of thiers ever since I heard 'Morning Glory' on the radio earlier this week. Its been a while, and I had forgotten how good thier first 2 albums really are.

Also: Oasis: "Rock and Roll Star" at Glastonbury, circa 1995.

Also: The Jam: "Dreams of Children" - from "Dig the New Breed"

Dont Look Back in Anger-Somewhere in the Europe, I think

Be Here Now. Rosemont Horizon Jan 17, 1997

Oasis is ridiculously awesome live. That whole show was great.

 Yeah I just saw that Roger. I had no idea you had turned the other thread into an Oasis lovefest as well.

Liam is actually the real jerk, but thats ok because Noel can sing just fine anyway.

Liam is just more open about being a dick. Noel is a dick too. He just trys to come off as the nice one.

At that show I posted Liam flipped off the crowd during the first song. When Noel was gonna sing talk tonight acoustic he announced. "And now that asshole is leaving" referring to Liam.

Saw em at the Chicago theater a few years later. That was great as well.

Definitely Maybe is in my top 5 albums ever.

Live Forever- Classic
Columbia- Just raw guitar and drums. Awesome.
Supersonic- Rockstar mother fucker

I saw this incredible band on five (5) separate occasions during the mid- to late-1990's. Unfortunately, four (4) of these concerts took place when I was still consuming copious amounts of intoxicants on a somewhat regular basis. Therefore, the shows were somewhat of a Blur (damon albarn).

I still listen to Oasis regularly, and love them platonically.

Oasis was the 2nd band I ever saw live(Phish was first). I used to be a big fan of "Morning Glory" but havent listened to them in 4-5 years.

Saw them at the Aragon on the Morning Glory tour.
Always liked them way more than Blur (sorry W_Z). :D

Only really liked "Champagne Supernova" and "Wonderwall." I think you sorta had to be there for Britpop. They're not timeless acts. Nobody's gonna go back and give a shit about Oasis and Blur the way people would for, say, the Smiths and the Cure.

EDIT: I'll very reluctantly give you The Bends as timeless Britpop, but even then, wouldn't you say Radiohead is a little too cerebral for the room, so to speak? They sort of transcend the subgenre. I liked Urban Hymns, but that's because I bought the "Bittersweet Symphony" single in 6th grade. I wouldn't care about the Verve if I semi-independently discovered their existence.

Oasis first 2 albums are worthy of listening to. That is all.

I remember seeing them at the Vic on what I think was their first tour b/c they really only played Def. Maybe and I am the Walrus

It was probably the loudest concert I've ever been to

I have a live boot from Glastonbury 95 though that has most of Def. Maybe and some of What the Story...just incredibly. Noel is a great guitarist.
