Nellie Fox wasn't far off. He and Albert Belle shared the hitting streak standard before C. Lee topped it in '04. Congrats, Matt. Always good to see the "regulars" get a shot at cool prizes.

I knew it was El Caballo, but I can never get thru on the damn phone lines. I remember watching him break the record in an extra inning game against the Marlins. He was 0fer until he got a double in the 10th or 11th. I don't, however, remember if that was before or after he was hit in the head with a hotel door
