My God they really are brain dead in Hollywood.

Why take risks? :-)

I'm not surprised they're concocting Marvel-themed movies, as Marvel has been bought by Disney. What? You think these guys won't get the rights renewed? I'm thinking, why not another Elektra and a Punisher? Punny's got a great storyline right now: Punny comes up against Wolverine, he chops him into pieces. So, some of the Marvel monster characters reformulate Frank as... Frankenstein. He's got guns, he's dead, he's got bolts in his neck!

Sigh.

THE WARRIORS
We love Walter Hill's original The Warriors movie, and continue to shudder at the mere thought of it being remade. Tony Scott is attached to it, which doesn't dampen our fears given what he managed to do with The Taking Of Pelham 123. Paramount has the project in pre-production, we believe, with the new screenplay already in place and relocating the action to Los Angeles. Casting seems to have begun too, ahead of a potential release in 2011. Don't screw this one up, Tony...

NO!!!!!

21 Jump Street is supposedly in development for the big screen also (by Jonah Hill of all people)

very underrated show btw... many of today's biggest stars were on that show: Depp, Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn, to name a few.

Depp has said he'd like a cameo in the movie too btw:

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2010/02/26/jo ... eet-movie/

“I’m hoping they’ll let me do a cameo,” Depp said with a laugh. “Someone will say, ‘Whatever happened to Tom Hanson?’ and they’ll find me somewhere hoarding jars of peanut butter and shaking in my underpants.”

Hell, even Depp's girlfriend on the show early on Yvette Nippar is in the news. She was once married to Olivia Newon John's long time boyfriend (Patrick McDermott) who 'disappeared' at sea). Now the guy has come clean that he's alive, and the money Nippar has collected in life insurance money for herself and their son is going to be reclaimed by the insurance company.

Deep down, however, Olivia Newton John remains convinced that McDermott didn't fake his own death, if only because he would never subject his now 14-year-old son to such anguish. "He just wouldn't do that," she says. "His son was everything to him." That feeling is echoed by the boy's mother, McDermott's ex-wife Yvette Nipar, 41, who has become close friends with Newton-John during the ordeal. "I can't imagine him leaving our son ever," says Nipar, an actress who was divorced from McDermott in 1998. "I just can't see it." Nipar also scoffs at the notion that McDermott might have decided to flee out of fear that she was about to have him thrown behind bars as a deadbeat dad. "Never in a million years would I put my son's father in jail," she says flatly. Link: http://www.people.com/people/archive/ar ... 56,00.html

WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING TYPING THIS KIND OF MINUTIA AT 3:07AM ON EASTER MORNING. I'm all jacked up on Diet Dr. Pepper and my ears are still buzzing from seeing JUDAS BEAST a couple of hours ago - that's why!

Well theres a few that are continuationsto their respective franchises. But yea there are some remakes in the works that should be left alone

The Neverending Story
The Birds
The Warriors
Aliens
Escape From New York
The Thing...I can keep goin on. Those should be untouchable

However I do think some of these can be interesting

Robocop - the 1st one so slow it was damn near stop motion
Spawn
Highlander - 1st person who came to mind when I saw this was Liam Neeson
The Crow

I don't see how it could get done. The Duke was a one-of-a-kind actor/personality. Anyone trying to be like him will just seem lame. I'm not really a Western fan, but I like True Grit and really don't want to see it remade.

I also don't see the need for a remake of Yellow Submarine. The Beatles and their respective personalities can't be copied or improved upon. At least they're not trying to remake A Hard Day's Night. Blasphemy!

If they want to do something that's been done, why not do a sequal to the South Park movie. It doesn't need to be a "direct sequel", just another SP movie. I understand Matt & Trey really don't want to do movies now (last I've read), but $$$$$ talks and after the last few episodes of the show, they still got it.

They also should go forward with the Master of the Universe franchise. The Krazy Ivan version that came out in the '80s wasn't really true to the franchise. What they need to do is one that stays true to the show's/toy-line's roots.

Also wouldn't mind seeing a Thundercats movie. I'm sure they could find actors willing to go under 8 hours of makeup to turn into the Thundercats.

At least there is a Harold and Kumar 3quel on the way. Neil Patrick Harris died in the last one so that is really going to hurt the franchise.

Really I don't think so as the guy who played Harold is working in the White House. He got himself killed off House, witch is a less controversial thing than one of these movies

They have had damn near 10 straight to dvd movies. Aside from Kal and Sean William Scott they are just pandering to a bunch of broke ass actors. Jason Biggs is less funny than SNL. Rookie of the year was a douche then and now he is an older douche. The girl with the curly red hair is a god damn homeless junkie in NYC. Tara belongs in a trailer with 12 kids the way she looks now. Nadia is like 40 now and married to some fat guy with a beard. That shitbreak cat is actually funny, but the last I saw of him was in harold and kumar. Is there really a reason to do this, and for the love of all that is right in this world, sean william scott, stay the fuck away.
