Jeff is a piece of shit. Him, Soriano, and Fontenot need to be released asap. Jeff is horrible. He can't develop another pitch, and can't throw strikes.

Has he recorded an out yet? I want him to leave the game with a divide-by-zero-error ERA.

You didn't pay him that much. Get him on a flight tonight.

Didn't he get something like a 10 million dollar signing bonus?

Well compared to the other salaries they need to dump, his isn't bad. I think he has played out most of that contract too. He has no place on a major league roster. If I am going to watch this team lose then I want to watch them lose with some of the kids that might end up being good. He is never going to be good. He has 1 pitch and can not locate it.

He's from Wisconsin. Justin Berg is a human manifestation of Summerfest.

This Monte the U Guy needs to be introduced to Dan Bernstein. After that, a speeding bus.

It is 1 game, that is it. No big conclusions can be drawn.

You're just jealous that you'll never be as good at anything as the Cubs are at losing.

I can conclude that the shark should not be on the roster of any mlb team.

Sure you can, doesn't make it a right conclusion though. It is 1 game. Every player and team in the MLB is going to have days like today. It is called baseball.

Yes, but I am not judging him on just today. Today is yet another confirmation of his entire body of work. He only has 1 effective pitch and he can't consistently locate it. Z is up and down and his bad day doesn't bother me, but the shark is a lost cause.

He has pitched in 47 major league games. That is not a big enough sample size to determine he is a lost cause.

If the cubs have a lead, do you want him in the game?

That is a completely different topic. Right now, he is not someone I want in a close game. But I am not willing to say that he is a lost cause after 47 games. The dude is young and has a good arm. Give the guy some time.

You are the same guy who if the Cubs cut him loose and he went on to do really good things with another team, you would be bitching about Hendry and Co. letting him go.

I'm not that guy. The thing with him is that he has not developed at all. If I saw any signs of progress it would be a different story.

Once again, 47 games in the majors.

Well yeah, the Cubs are basically gonna allow 2,592 runs this year. I dont think their lineup is good enough to overcome that.
