Different way of thinking, yes. You certainly have that. I typically think within reference to reality. But hey, if you want to blame the umps yesterday rather than "not give a fuck" about your supposed #1 pitcher not making it out of the 2nd inning you're entitled to do just that.

how do you know they score 8 more runs? are you carnac the magnificent? that changes the way the game is played. different pitchers. different strategy. different ways of thinking. different attitudes.

Generally speaking, sports coulda, woulda's aren't worth trying to think about.
The Cubs deserved to lose that game. They were bad at pitching, fielding, and with the exception of a couple dingers, they were bad at hitting. They had that loss coming regardless of a bad call.
Bad calls happen. They probably average out over time.
Let it go. 1 of 162, it was probably one of the most poorly played games I've watched, and the outcome was pretty much in concrete after the first third of the second inning.

This should end the thread.

You guys are the ones making sense, I'm just having fun.

I wonder of Elmhurst Steve saddled up to watch yesterday's game?

i agree with you. they didnt really deserve to win that game. im just saying i wish they wouldve gotten a chance to come back and it was looking up at the time. look at what they did against the rockies a couple years back. they were down 9-1 in that game and came back and won. its not out of the realm of possibility for these things to happen. so yes as a cubs fan its frustrating when a shitty call kills that comeback chance in that particular inning. im not mad they lost and i realize its a long season. but its the first game of the season and i was looking forward to it and that call rubbed me the wrong way. and with that im done. its really not that big of a deal. just expressing my frustration with what happened. it is a message board. thats what its for
