I'm starting to get worried about us not scoring any runs, besides on homeruns.

Nice.

Editor's Note. This is what I had ready to go when Marmol gave up the game.

What the fucking fuck?!?! I am about to use a bicycle as a weapon while screaming rape!

well its nice to have that first win out of the way. im only a little concerned about the lack of hitting still. its only game 3 im sure the bats will come eventually. im not really worried at this point. fukudome i thought had some nice swings even if they didnt fall. colvins looked good in his first start. i dont know if i can sit through an entire season of marmol closing. ill die of some sort of heart condition before its over. and finally wells was very impressive against a pretty good atlanta offense.

Well, I'm somewhat encouraged by the performances of Byrd and Colvin - really hope Lou gets 'em in the lineup alot this year, although the big contracts ahead of 'em will likely prevent him from doing so  I most definitely want to echo Darko's concern about the overuse of Marshall, too, and I'm interested in seeing what Silva and the 'pen are gonna look like tonight...

Colvin needs to play every day, until he looks like he's NOT doing the job. Screw the amount of money Soriano or Fukadome make. Colvin looks like the better player. We know what to reasonably expect from those other 2, it's time to see if Colvin can do better. You see Atlanta starting Jason Heyward on a very good team. Tyler Colvin led the entire league in batting average in the spring and can't get into the first 2 games??? Crazy.... Besides the homer, I liked the sharp grounder he hit his last time up, that was nearly a double down the line. Plus, that he was able to hit a fly ball to try to score the runner against a left hander in another at bat, was a good sign. He may not have hit it deep enough to score the runner, but he made contact and got the ball in the outfield. A lot of good signs, besides the homer. The pitching of Dempster and Wells was real good in this series and against a very good hitting team, thats nice to see.

Weren't you saying the same shit about Lee and Hoffpauir last year? And Lee went on to bat over 300 too right? 35 HR?

^^ He would be, but Cub insist on neutering his playing time with untradable contract stiffs ahead of him.

By running, did they mean he's a rookie so he'd technically be on the ballot?

Well they are both idiots because there are likely rookie pitchers who haven't even thrown a pitch yet.
