You should take into account some of the people are his actual friends. Not because they want to be seen with him or think he is "important" but because he is a decent human being. You should defend your friends even if you don't agree with them or like what they have done always. Say whatever you want in private but pubically you should be supporting them.

I post in the Mac section. I'll occasionally post something on the show facebook page. I've hung out with Mac on non-remote occasions. Spent a fair amount of money on golf outings. I've communicated with him via phone privately. But, I'm not an ALS-er by your definition, yet Frank is and he's done most if not all of the same things.

ALS is a term that I do not think applies to this board. It's a Terry Boers phrase for Chimp's sake.
