Couldn't stop myself from picking this up for $5 at Target yesterday.
I'll be listening to it this morning.

It was a real nice listen this morning. I think the last copy of this album I had
was on cassette, so the sound quality was much improved.

Was rocking out to this on a nice 35 minute jog. Excellent workout music I must say.

Scott Lucas & The Married Men: George Lassos The Moon

I got this album a couple weeks ago, but finally got around to playing the record last night. I wasn't expecting much, but I picked it up because I am longtime fan of Local H, and also the Tossers (a couple of them are part of his backup band on the record). I’ll say this at first for any fans of either band, this record sounds nothing like either of them, so don’t expect them to recreate anything they have previously done. This is a fantastic acoustic record though, and Lucas’ songwriting ability really shines on this album.

Some songs to check out:
You Put A Spell on Me (No, this isn’t a cover)
Positively 4th Street (Dylan cover)
What Fools Allow
Get Up, You Damn Dead Horse
Weatherman

Edit: You can actually listen to the whole album on their website: http://scottlucasandthemarriedmen.com/

That's Hans Zimmer right? I may have to pick that up, I like listening to
that stuff occasionally.

it's a few people; zimmer, geof zanelli, and blake neely. incredibly peaceful and somber. reminds me of the "john adams" soundtrack a bit. really nice to wake up to, or go to sleep to. and to write to as well.

Deconstruction.
feat. Dave Navarro and Eric Avery of Janes Addiction. a one-off album from 1994.
"America"
I still listen to this album....i'm doing it now.

I was America this morning. driving just to drive. no destination in mind. just spinning my wheels. like I said
I was America this morning. I was America this morning. I was America an overturned truck
mess slowed up the highway. like for a movie. a drive-in movie or a circus sideshow. we all waited for our turn
to gawk four mexican bodies. laid out like battle casualties. a fireman on one knee. with hands filled with frightened bloody Mexican face.
I rolled by. I rolled by.
eating my egg mcmuffin
and I didn't care for those few moments...
where I...let Rome burn
getting fatter and uncaring
I was America.
