Game 1: Monday 1:20p WGN
Dempster (0-0 1.50 ERA) vs. Doug Davis (0-0 9.00 ERA)

Game 2: Wednesday 1:20p CSN
Wells (1-0 0.00 ERA) vs. Dave Bush (0-0 4.76 ERA)

Game 3: Thursday 1:20p CSN
Zambrano (1-1 11.88 ERA) vs. Yovani Gallardo (0-2 6.75 ERA)

Hopefully, these three pitchers give the Cubs the best chance to win. Dempster, Wells and Zambrano care a capable 1, 2, 3 punch for this series. There's a day off, so that might give the stars of the pen, Marshall and Marmol, a chance to put in some innings during this series.
the Cubs offense has been pretty terrible. Hopefully being home with some nice weather against a nice rival will wake up bats.

Douchebag and myself will be in the fucking bleachers (avoided bleachers for last 5 years) for this game.

Despite the early E.R.A.'s this should be a pitchers duel, but it probably wont be.

Looking forward to Braun's interaction with the bleachers. Fuck that guy.

Why in the world would anyone want to wear such a horrible shirt? Is it really too much to ask to expect someone to wear a nice white shirt and tie?

I definitely do not like the look of this guy.

And you shouldnt.

Luckily, The president of the Yankees just verball slapped his team last week.

Yankees' President Says Attanasio Should Stop Whining.
Says Randy Levine:

"We play by all the rules and there doesn't seem to be any complaints when teams such as the Brewers receive hundreds of millions of dollars that they get from us in revenue sharing the last few years. Take some of that money that you get from us and use that to sign your players."

I doubt there is a shortage on bleacher attendees who would like to fuck Braun. You and The Bag of Douche best watch your asses.

The pitching match-ups look good, but this Brewer team can really hit. My fear is what happens when the starters leave the game. This Brewer team is very likely to expose this bullpen again and again. Marshall and Marmol are good and can be relied on. The rest is shaky at best and crap too often. Russell actually has looked pretty good early on, but has not gotten many opportunities. I hope that he gets more. Maybe he's a guy that can take be depended on. They need to get this figured out, sooner rather than later.

You should call into some of the shows today and make this point. This is the kind of original, insightful analysis that many of the hosts will appreciate (and frankly have come to rely on from you).

In Braun's defense, he probably wears the same clothes as 50% of the people in the bleachers at Cubs games.

I was so horrified by how terrible this shirt looks that I was compelled to do a little research. Here is from the Remetees web-site.

"Originated by one of the founders of Affliction clothing, the line has street credibility and edge that will bring it to the forefront of fashion. Another key player behind the line is Major League Baseball left fielder Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers who received all five "Rookie of the Year" awards in 2007."

Apparently, one can pay up to $99.00 for a horrible and ugly t-shirt, a small price to pay for "street credibility and edge," whatever that is.

Can you imagine Billy Martin or Whitey Ford going to Toots Shor's dressed like this? If you can imagine it you should probably write science fiction, because I guarantee you that those guys wore a suit and tie.

Today's Lineup:

Theriot SS
Byrd CF
Lee 1B
Ramirez 3B
Nady RF
Soriano LF
Baker 2B
Soto C
Dempster P

Really like this lineup. Should score at least 3 runs.

Let's not overreact to that defensive play. He HAS to get going. Ramirez didn't have a base hit in Cincy.

Colvin will get his chances sooner rather than later if things continue I'm sure. I'd love to see Fukudome leading off against a Righty with Byrd 2nd.
