Game 1: Friday 1:20p CSN
Silva (0-0, 1.50 ERA) vs. Felipe Paulino (0-0 7.20 ERA)

Game 2: Saturday 12:05p CSN
Gorzelanny (0-0 0.00 ERA) vs. Roy Oswalt (0-2 3.75)

Game 3: Sunday 1:20p CSN
Dempster (1-0 4.38 ERA) vs. Wandy Rodriguez (0-2 6.10 ERA)

Well the first two matchups look good, and although the Cubs tend to hit Oswalt at Wrigley Field, I don't have the same faith in that game as I do the other two. The Astros can't hit, and the Cubs can't pitch, so this ought to be an interesting matchup. Maybe it's going to come down to the weather.

Even though the stros can't hit El Caballo is salivating over any potential shark encounters.

Jason Bergmann was designated by the Nationals yesterday. Can't be worse than the shark.

I'm going on Sunday. Since the astros have started off all shitty...I get a bad feeling that they will take 2 out 3 against the beloved! Hope not.

Theriot
Fukudome
Lee
Ramirez
Byrd
Soriano
Fontenot
Hill
Silva

Would have liked to see Colvin get back to back starts. Also, Soto swinging the bat well the past couple of days would have like to see him get another start before an off day.

Soriano's hop is actually needed once every 700 plays. He just had it in the first.

And Silva's looking sharp. This has disaster written all over it.

judging from my cbs sports box score, he has 3 k's and a average to low pitch count through 2 1/3.

Line drive to the gap near the apex of the well, Soriano quartering toward the play, it would have hit the wall about halfway up, 10 feet shy of the warning track Sori took a leap and caught it over his head. probably could have done it without the theatrics but he caught it.
just now, he caught one in left with a runner on base and did not bunny hop.
Someone might have mentioned it's time to stop that?

43 pitches, 1 hit, 3 k's and no walks through 3. Very efficient and effective so far.

What I like so far about Silva is he is getting ahead of just about every hitter. Very nice.

Bourn is Gold Glove rabbit in the field, but a little light with the lumber. Pence and Lee are solid but off to slow starts. Manzella is a kid getting a look at short, he is suppose to be an Adam Everett good glove/no hit type. No idea who the kid Johnson is. Any lineup with Pedro Feliz hitting third is awful. Still, they managed to beat Kyle Lohse and the Card last night for their first victory.

silva has had another great outing. didnt deserve to have those 2 runs scored on him. 2 awful plays in right by byrd/fukudome in a row. the offense is nowhere to be found

Fat ass needs to run out that bunt. 1st and 2nd no outs, and we can't score. Horrible ab by Hill, and fat ass not running.

Soriano has 4 attempts with 4 put outs and 1 hop. 2 were a little tricky. Looks better in the field. Nice little single to boot. Keep pushing him Colvin.

^^ I watched the game, and you'd be hard pressed to find a gimme matchup for Lohse these days..

True that. How did that guy get a $41 mil extension...

Silva looks pretty good, at least on my MLB.com gamecast window. Apparently the Cub can't solve the great Felipe Paulino?

Because the Cards forgot that when Duncan gets a good year out of one his projects it usually doesn't carry over to the next...
