Thanks very much for the information, while I am watching the Brewers get their ass kicked by the Nationals I will at least be able to watch a good team.

Keyser where's my rankings? :D By the way, they looked damn good Friday night and I think they have won 11 in a row. Thanks again for letting me know the game was on.

Sorry Hawg, I've been a little busy today. That was a good game but the douchebag bartender turned it off in the 5th because he wanted to watch the Pitt vs Ott game. Zack Cox and Bo Bigham are the real deal. I really like their chances if Drew Smyly keeps throwing like that.

Thanks Keyser, I can sleep tonight now. :P Yeah, they have some kids that can really slug, if there pitching can just keep them close they are going to be dangerous. Sucks about the bartender. My son is 11 and I want to take him out to the College World Series some time, I think it would be an absolute blast.

#8 LSU vs #19 Mississippi on ESPNU tonight at 7:00. RHP Anthony Ranaudo (2-0 3.00) vs LHP Drew Pomeranz (6-0 1.38). Arguably the two best starting pitchers in the country and quite possibly the top two (2) picks in June's draft if the character issues about Bryce Harper continue. Ranaudo has had some elbow issues but appears to be back to full strength. This is the most anticipated pitching matchup of the college season and if that douchebag bartender tries to turn this game off he'll get a swift kick to the nuts.

The Big 10 is a hot mess. Michigan and Northwestern are tied for the conference lead at 9-6. OSU, Minnesota and Purdue are 8-7. Depending on who wins the conference they may only get 1 team into the postseason tournament. Michigan is probably the best team. They're 14-6 since the return of injured All-American CF Ryan LaMarre (.450/.471/.675).

Hawg, Arkansas is on ESPNU again tonight against Mississppi at 7:00. They'll have their hands full with potential top 5 pick Drew Pomeranz (6-0 1.85 ERA) going for Ole Miss. Drew Smyly (a potential 1st rounder) has to be in top form or the Razorbacks are in jeopardy of losing their 3rd series in a row.

A light schedule made for very little movement in the top 10. Texas' 21 game winning streak ended but they stayed at #2 after winning 2-3 vs Kansas St. S. Carolina dropped to #8 after losing 2-3 against Kentucky. TCU moved up a spot after winning 2-3 against New Mexico. Arkansas moved up 2 spots to #12 after winning 2-3 at #14 Mississippi. San Diego moved up 3 spots to #19 after sweeping Portland. Vandy returns to the top 25 at # 23, Pittsburgh gets in for the first time in school history at #24 and Stanford returns at #25 after winning 2-3 at Long Beach St. Cal, Arizona, and LSU (moment of silence...thank you) drop out of the top 25.

1. Virginia 40-9
2. Texas 41-8
3. Arizona State 39-5
4. Florida 33-12

Virgina stays on top and extended their winning streak to 14 games after sweeping North Carolina. Texas, ASU and Florida all took care of business and stay put at #2, #3, and #4. S. Carolina moves up 2 spots to #6 after a road sweep of #17 Arkansas. That sweep really hurts Arkansas' chances of getting a national seed. #8 TCU dropped a spot after a 4-1 week. #12 Virginia Tech and #13 Georgia Tech each moved up 3 spots after winning 2-3 from Duke and #14 Miami respectively. #15 Oklahoma and #16 Auburn each move up a spot after winning series against Memphis and Tennessee. #24 Washington St enters the top 25 after winning 2-3 at Stanford. Preseason top 10 UC Irvine re-enters the top 25 after winning a series vs. UC Santa Barbara. Pitt and Stanford drop out the top 25.

1. Virginia 43-9
2. Texas 43-8
3. Arizona State 42-6
4. Florida 37-12
5. Coastal Carolina 45-6
6. South Carolina 41-11

The regular season wrapped up with Virginia on top. The Cavaliers won 2-3 and the ACC regular season championship at #17 Miami. #4 Florida won the SEC with a series win against #10 S. Carolina. TCU moved up 2 spots to #6 after sweeping Cal St. Louisville moved to #10 and won the Big East after sweeping Notre Dame. Auburn jumped up to #13 after sweeping Mississippi, who dropped out of the top 25. #15 Arkansas righted the ship winning 2-3 against #24 Vanderbilt. Clemson entered the top 25 after sweeping then #7 Florida St.

1. Virginia 45-10
2. Texas 46-8
3. Arizona State 45-7
4. Florida 40-13
5. Coastal Carolina 47-7
6. Texas Christian 43-11
7. UCLA 41-11
8. Cal State Fullerton 37-15
9. Louisville 46-10
10. South Carolina 43-13
11. Georgia Tech 44-11
12. Oklahoma 42-14
13. Auburn 39-17
14. Florida State 39-16
15. Arkansas 40-16
16. San Diego 33-18
17. Miami 39-15
18. Virginia Tech 36-19
19. Connecticut 43-12
20. Rice 35-20
21. Oregon 37-19
22. Washington State 31-18
23. UC Irvine 34-18
24. Vanderbilt 40-15
25. Clemson 37-19

Up next are the conference tournaments then the championship tournament. For those who care (and I don't know why you would) Minnesota won the Big 10 regular season championship and Ohio St did not qualify for the conference tournament. Bad.

Keyser, if Arkansas wins the SEC tournament I would think their chances of getting a national seed would be greatly improved. Now the chances of them doing that are not very good, I don't believe. They have disappointed me a little bit. :(

If Arkansas wins the SEC tournament they would definitely be in line for a national seed. It won't be easy with the way Florida, Auburn and S. Carolina have been playing. Arkansas needs to win at least 1 game in the tournament or they could be in jeopardy of not hosting the regional.

They have played poorly down the stretch mainly because Zack Cox has missed 4 or 5 games with a bad back. They REALLY need him to be healthy if the want to make a run at the CWS.

Well Arkansas was eliminated from the SEC tournament after losing to Vandy then Florida. They will limp into the championship tournament and will hopefully hang on to hosting a regional. Not good, Hawg. Not good.

In another surprise Texas was knocked out of the Big 12 conference tournament after losing to Missouri and Texas Tech. This won't affect Texas getting a national seed but it's not how the Longhorns wanted to go into the championship tournament.

The 64 team field won't be announced until tomorrow but the regional hosts have been released. Arkansas (nice Hawg), Auburn, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia, Arizona State, Cal State Fullerton, Coastal Carolina, Connecticut, Louisville, Oklahoma, Texas, TCU and UCLA.

I'm guessing Texas, Virginia, Florida, ASU, Coastal Carolina, TCU, Louisville and Georgia Tech will get the national seeds.
