Really glad Nady is up with the bases loaded as the cleanup hitter instead of Ramirez. Thanks Lou.

I stand by this statement regardless of the outcome of this at bat

That was another awesome outing by the shark. 93 mph flat fastball right down the dick. awesome stuff. I love the espn commentator saying before his first pitch that its obvious he has great stuff, he just needs some control.

Why did they give aram an error on that hot shot to 3rd. It took a huge hop and he blocked it off his body and kept it in the infield.

Some ex big leaguer's son...Jeff or Keith or something. Until tonight he was the second best left hander out of the pen. Is Marshall now overexposed? I haven't seen the last two games, but it seems he is getting shelled.

Anyone else listening to the Cub postgame show? The host (Dave Kaplan) is giving the team the business. Batters suck, pen sucks, Wittmeyer texting in that one of the top 3 starters is going to the pen...hinting that it is not "Cublike" but the guy that should go because he sucks is Zambrano. Soriano should be benched after lolly gagging it into 2nd when he should have had a triple. I was quite surprised by the fire and passion displayed. These guys were complete homers for so long it was not worth listening too.

Don't listen to this show until now. Better than what I was hearing on the Loho show on 670. 1000 is too painful after a Buullll loss.

I know this team isn't hitting shit, but seriously this bullpen is ridiculous. Hendry needs to answer questions about this shit. You came North with 3 rookies, and a WR in your bullpen, along with Grabow who sucks. He needs to be fired, if Ricketts had some nuts.

Kaplan only gives it to the Cubs when they blatantly suck and there's no way to sugarcoat it, like this year, or 2006. If they're just treading water he won't go hard on them, but to say they're always homers is inaccurate.

I think there is a good chance shark gets sent down today for either Jeff Stevens or Mitch Atkins. Once Lilly is ready they will probably send gray or the new guy back.

i wish i could find the era comparison for the starters and the bullpen. because the starters have been near unhittable so far and the bullpen has lost almost every game this year

Starters- 3.53 (9th)

Bullpen- 6.00 (28th)

Overall- 4.38 (19th)

Hard to believe there are two teams (D'bags, Royals) with worse bullpens than the Cubs.

What happened to Colvin getting 3 starts a week.

who knows? Soriano is hitting right now though. Koyie Hill=2008/9 speak for Ryan Theriot in the player that Lou likes way too much. No reason at all to bench Soto today. None.

Z has already reached his 2 inning quota of 50 pitches.

Soriano is in today, and I'm starting to think that we might need a change with regard to the field manager.

This is kind of a strange way to look at things but there would be less need for the bullpen if Z was part of the bullpen.

I agree. Maybe it's just me, but I find myself questioning Lou's decisions more and more this year. I mean, he's been bad with our bullpen for a few years, but his poor decisions are spilling into the starting 9 now

Lou is like a guy who is used to eating well and is stuck in a town that only has a taco bell. Sure a mexican pizza and 3 double decker tacos can get the job done after a hard night of drinking, but not so much the next day. And yes, there are about 50 different things on the menu and it changes every few weeks but after a while eating shit everyday just takes its toll and becomes exhausting.

they cant pull the plug on soriano this early in the season. i am all for blowing up the team come the trade deadline, but this early in the season you have to let your horses play and see what happens. he is going to get a couple months to heat it up, and when summer comes, maybe it is a different story and you make a drastic move and start colvin or whatever. what he (soriano) is doing right now is no different than what he has done in any other year. he is a loafer, a terrible fielder, and a streaky weapon at the plate, and they will give him all the time he needs to heat it up.

signing him was the worst signing i have ever seen the cubs make. thinking of his remaining contract hurts my head.
