Soriano going for the cycle tonight!! Don't get greedy with that bomb. Stick with the good balanced plate approach.

Soriano will be NL MVP. Zambrano will be CY Young Award Winner as a setup man. Colvin will be ROY. Lou and Hendry will be Manager and Exec of the Year. Castro will be runner up to ROY, only because he will be coming up tomorrow and will not have a full season. Ah, Yosh Kawano will get another lifetime achievement award. Steve Buechele was a great third baseman. I'm running out of steam....and......done.

I don't care if he threw yesterday. Where the hell is our new 8th inning guy?

I love making fun of the daily ride. However, the Zambrano move is not part of the ups and downs. It is just bad.

In light of the recent Zambrano demotion, how about sitting down Ramirez for a few games. He blows.

Aram better start getting to the park early to work with soriano. I still can't believe Silva has been legit through 3 starts.

and this is why i'm not so against zambrano sitting in the bullpen for a little while. it's not the end of the world. the other guys have been more consistent.

aram will probably get a little bit of time off soon. he goes through some annoying slumps...then he'll get on track, then he'll get hurt...

big z to the bullpen is crazy. not that i disagree since hes been their worst starter this season and might be better in shorter stints. but he is the highest paid bullpen pitcher in history. still blows my mind. whens the last time the teams ace and opening day starter was in the bullpen 2 weeks later? i just hope it works out

carlos silva has been the best cubs starter this season. something else i cant wrap my mind around. thank you seattle. even if silva falls off a cliff hes already made good on his return. fuck off milton bradley. im pretty sure byrd has more rbis now than bradley had in june

nice to see soriano hitting a hot streak. hopefully it lasts. finally i think something is wrong with ramirez ive never seen him look so bad before. not even close. its been disgustingly bad.

Oh, and Ramirez is sitting tonight. Baker to guard the hot corner.

I leave Gorzelanny for five minutes and the Mets score 4 runs.
