Anyone else watching? I missed the first hour because I was watching Mike Holmes dominate yet another house. Seems interesting enough to keep on so far.

I forgot it was on, but when I saw a preview a couple of weeks ago, it looked pretty interesting. I set my DVR for the repeat at 10.

Its cool to watch so far, but its just stuff most of us already know. Kinda cool to put on tape with today's technology, but nothing all that groundbreaking.

I'm looking forward to this. I certainly didn't expect the plot twist of "Let's kill all the Jews" in Germany: The Story of Us. I wonder if this story will have any interesting plot twists.

i watched it first and then caught the pacific after. good stuff...re-running stock footage of facial expressions bothers me, but it was decent.

I watched it. I liked it, but as someone said, not exactly groundbreaking. But, well told and kept my interest.

I could do without some of the inteviews though...like I don't really need Tom Brokaw telling me how great we are or Donald Trump talking about how smart we are.

I only saw the first 30 minutes, but I thought it was awful. I don't particularly care what Michael Douglas has to say about the first settlers. And the CGI animations were brutal. It didn't help that they went from 1620 to 1770 in 30 seconds.

I caught about half of the first episode on a re-run last night. It was
interesting enough that I didn't turn the channel but all in all it was
pretty elementary and as Irish Boy mentioned, they really move through
things quickly. I applaud the concept but as the HISTORY CHANNEL,
they probably should spend a week just doing the Revolutionary War
for example rather than glossing over 400 years of history in a week.
I am sure I will end up catching most if not all of it during re-runs, just
wish that it would be a little more thorough.

Heck, PBS spent, what, 10 hours on the Civil War alone? They might have just bitten off more than they could chew. But if anything, they should focus more on the earliest periods, since those are probably the least covered ground.
