Yeah, if any of the shots go down, the outcome of this game is probably different. It’s a shame the Bulls couldn’t steal this one because if Lebron is hurt, you never know what could happen. The foul trouble really hurt the Bulls late in the game, and the fact they really made no adjustments against Shaq just made the problem worse.
The officiating was also terrible in this game. I think the play after the Rose basket was taken away, was even worse. It was obvious there was a shot clock violation there on Deng, and there was no need to look at a review. I think the refs were just looking for a way to make up the Rose call.
The thing that sealed the Bulls fate and was the main problem the entire season was their inability to knock down the big outside shot. Gordon was that guy for the last 4-5 seasons, and they thought Salmons would step into that role this year. They were wrong, and Salmons was dealt leaving this team with nobody who can knock down the big 3. When you’re asking Flip Murray to take big shots for you, your team is in trouble.
