Bulls' Noah hopes break fixes foot problem

It's getaway day at the Berto Center, where players meet individually with senior vice president John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman to talk about offseason plans and goals.

For those wondering, it's standard for the coach not to participate in NBA exit meetings. So the fact Vinny Del Negro, who is expected to be dismissed with a year remaining on his contract, was absent from the Berto wasn't a big deal.

Also, Derrick Rose was with his family for a personal commitment.

The 10-minute interviews took place one after the other, with players meeting the media afterward. Here are highlights:

* Joakim Noah: The emotional leader looked and sounded spent and, indeed, said he planned to take a long break to make sure the plantar fasciitis in his feet is gone for good.

"I'm going to take a little break from basketball and enjoy my life for about a month and a half," Noah said. "And then come back ready to kick some (butt). I need it really bad. I kind of feel beat up right now
