In the 6th inning, with the bases loaded and 2 outs, Fontenot had a 3-1 count, and swung at 2 straight pitches out of the zone that would of brought in the tying run. In the 7th, Ramirez swung at ball 4 and grounded into a dp, instead of taking the walk and loading the bases. Just horrible abs against a guy making his 2nd career appearance. Now in the 8th, Byrd leads off with a double, and Fontenot follows by hitting a infield pop up, and not moving the runner. Fontenot and Hill need to go away.

Fucking Shocking that Tracy strikes out.

YOU ARE BRINGING SOTO INTO THE GAME ANYWAYS. He's hitting better than Joe Mauer currently.

Seriously, he wants to be fired. There is 0 baseball logic in any of this.

Fontenot has probably used up his useful games allotment for 2010 already as his numbers are starting to drop back to poop levels, where they tend to be when playing more than a handful of games a season.

So Lou just burned 4 guys there (Hill, Tracy, Nady and Soto) and the one having the best season so far didn't hit (and has to stay in the game) It's too bad we don't have the ML leader in OBP (min 30 AB) on our team, oh wait we do, the same guy who didn't hit.

Fuck this team.

Carrot Top needs to be released, he is useless. Theriot swings at the first pitch, when Nady is walked on 4 straight, WTF. Baker should be the everyday 2nd basemen, until Theriot is moved there for Castro.

I'll jump on the FonteNOT bashing as well.

This little prick swings at just about every 2 - 0 or 3 - 1 count that he gets . Usually fast balls down the middle...and all he EVER does is foul them off. ALWAYS.

Where is big time hitting coach in this? Byrd, FonteNOT, Ramirez....all htese guys swinging at ball 4 and mnaking bad, unproductive outs....when they could / should be taking a fucking walk.

Cubs are 1 for 12 with runner in scoring position. SHIT !!!

You guys are bashing someone who is 2-4 today. Maybe you should turn your attention towards our manager who keeps batting Lee and Ramirez in the 3 and 4 spot who are hitting a combined .362. Or possibly pinch hitting Chad Tracy for Koyie Hill. Or Nady for the pitcher instead of Soriano or Soto who are both swinging the bat really well.

I'm not a Fontenont fan, but he's been fine today. Plenty of other schmucks who deserve our attention

0-2 with RISP. Also, he's had a couple hits today. Good for him. He's still a mediocre second baseman at best, and he won't hit over 260 this season if he stays as the starter.

Ramirez sucks balls so far this year - hasn't been that bad today, but I had no hope of him keeping this game alive :x

Another bad loss. You can't lose a series to the Mets and Nationals. My thing with Fontenot is he never gets a big hit, and he swings at shit when he is a head in the count.

Fontenot seems to have a very low baseball IQ.

Fontenot lifetime with Runners in Scoring Position:

285 PA
.245 BA
.332 OBP
.388 SLG
Interesting stat... 10 Sacrifice Flies
89 RBI

52 K (in 285 PA  )

There's an infielder raking to the tune of .377 down in AA...

Averages don't work like that. :D

Clearly, I understand that. Just trying to make a larger point about how bad they are struggling and Lou keeps trotting them out in the middle of our order. In hindsight, i could have made that better.
