It was annoying enough with Tom, and it was proven he was the beneficiary of Garnett when he was healthy, and perhaps Rondo as well. It seems redundant and grandstand-y...

Tom was really the head coach. He got tired of Doc looking sleepy and not know what was going on.

When was this proven? Look at TT's entire body of work. It basically unequivocally would have him as one of the best defensive assistants of the past 2 decades.
