Didn't see enough Bull games to say one way or another how good Vinny was. Also never was at practiced as were all of you. So making statements that he didn't help make Rose/Taj/Noah or anyone else better is moot.
When Noah was drafted radio/paper guys and fans thought he was going to be a bust or average. Now look at him. And some of you are talking like Berstein theory of coaching. Doesn't matter right.
Hitting coach? Don't need one. HOVA said Rose & Noah just got better on their own. During the summer puff....all stars. Vinny had nothing to do with that. All he did was throw the ball on the court and told them to play.
Everyone knows the Bulls had crap on their roster. But they finished at .500 and made the play-offs. Injuries, second tier players 3 1/2 NBA players and fans are bitching.

Vinny's Pros: From most accounts the players liked him and played hard, if not well, for him.

Vinny's Cons: According to a few pretty credible basketball writers and coaches, Vinny ran the most simplistic offensive sets out of all 30 teams in the league. He was terrible at drawing up inbounds plays and handling timeouts. He was fairly bad at setting a rotation that worked.

Overall he is a pretty terrible coach. The results looked alot better than the coaching performance. He will get another HC job in the next two years though.
