Maybe if FonteNOT would take a pitch or two...especially ones up in his eyes....the Cubs would have came back to tie it. He swung at ball four, then Lee proceeds to walk...could have had 1st & 2nd no one out....in the 9th. Coulda-woulda-shoulda.

ramirez has been absolutely terrible this season. i dont know what his deal is but at this point but he better get his shit together

another game where the cubs get the hits. they get the walks. and then when runners are on they forget how to get them across the plate. seems to be their mo for most of this season.

one positive thing to mention. soto has been an on base machine and seems to be hitting the ball hard just about every time up lately

Ramirez has been crap. I'm surprised because he is sitting on a "player option" at the end of the season. Figured he would have a monster year and then bend Hendry over again.

Cubs are down 3-0, again. They're being worked by a guy who is 0-5 already this season.

Guy comes in 0-5 with a 12.57 ERA then goes 6 innings and gives up 2 runs in a win. Baseball is a funny game.

every pitcher the pirates used tonight had a 7+ ERA and the cubs scored 2 runs.

hilarious.

what a life-less bunch of LOSERS. Ramirez needs to go away for a few games. And...if these guys would just NOT swing the fucking bat they'd have a better chance at getting on base. Like FonteNOT last night...I saw numerous swings tonight that would have been ball 4 & a walk...including dick head Ramirez with the bases loaded.

you know, sometimes you just run up against quality opponents and you cant always win them. the pirates are a fine team, a good veteran club with a lot of good working components. to go into pittsburgh and sweep or even take 2 of 3 would be a real achievement for any team. if they can win this next game, get the one win, it will give them some real momentum going forward. these last 2 nights have been good learning experiences for this young team going forward.

im real excited about what we are seeing. there has been real improvement from the cubs, and with a little more work they might be able to start contending with teams like the pirates, reds and astros.

Ramirez doesn't seem like he's in very good shape this season. He's not heavy, but he doesn't seem very strong. I wonder if better conditioning might help him? He really looks bad. Amazing how the Cubs have struggled so far against pitching that has been awful priror to this series. I'm not too upset, because as I stated well before the season, I expect very little from this season. I'm just anxious to see Starlin Castro. Move Theriot to 2B and let the new Era begin at SS. Perhaps get Josh Vitters up here too, if Ramirez doesnt get his head out of his ass soon.

Vitters is in A ball. Are you nuts bringing him up "perhaps"?

Man what a steaming pile of crap this is. I hate when both Chicago teams are bad, makes for such a long summer.
