this team should have been blown up last season. the bad thing is that some of the better vets on the team are sucking bad right now, and have less and less trade value. right now, fukudome is an on-base monster who could probably be dealt with some value back in return, and some teams would definitely be interested in dempster. ramirez, lee, zambrano, unless they get hot in a hurry, i think the bus has left the station as far as getting good young prospects in return. it should have been clear after getting swept the SECOND time in a row in the playoffs that this core wasnt getting it done.

the longer the team waits to clear these guys out of here, the longer the rebuild will take, and the uglier it will be.
