Steve Phillips and Mark Schlereth are usually pretty good, but man those skits they do (singing, news of the weird, the producers singing, etc.) have GOT to go.

Furious here:

So they were talking about the whole Kenny Rogers/doctoring the ball thing and comparing it to speeding 10 miles over the limit.

Steve Phillips came on and basic said it's cheating, plain and simple. Golic wisely asked Steve-o if he had ever bent the rules in his days as a GM. Steve Phillips, even more wisely, played obtuse.

Furious out.

Do QBs throwing the ball with gloves on cheat? E.g. Brady, Grossman on cold days, can't think of many others, but I am sure there are.

I don't know if that's a good analogy for this situation. Maybe more like players using "Pam" or some other spray on their jerseys...

You have to draw the line somewhere, that's why there's a rule. Since no one can prove what the "smudge" is or was, it's all a moot point now.

Didn't Phillips get caught cheating on his wife while he was the GM of the Mets - I think when that got out, that gave the Mets another reason to get rid of him....

The point is I should never be listening to them, like today

Stink saying he used to piss his pants during every game because he was too lazy to go to the bathroom was kinda funny, they should replace Golic w him permanently.

Much like a lot of their material, this one was recycled. Over the past couple of years they've made multiple references to Stink pissing his pants, especially in big pile ups. Soooo dirty.

If Mike Greenberg was on the Hall of Fame Selection Committee then we would have over 100,000 players in the HOF.

THis guy does not get it. You don't put EVERYONE in the HOF. C. Martin? Are you kidding me? 9000 yards don't do it. He was not even in the top 5 "most dominating players" of his era. And it's not just Martin, he wants everyone in the hall of fame.

Come to think of it we should have a man law that does not allow us to say "Future Hall of Famer" cause that is simple BS. You never know what'll happen to a player (Palmiero) that will take a "future HOFer" and turn him to dog dirt.

I was wondering if you'd ever admit you were wrong about that.
