Why would LeBron sign if Rose isn't here. Rose doesn't make enough money for it to make sense/cents either.

If Deng somehow did end up going to Cleveland in a sign and trade for LeBron, he might want to consider doing a 24/7 reality show ("THE MOST HATED MAN IN OHIO. EVER." ), having cameras around all the time might be prudent from a personal safety perspective.

He is from Sudan so I'm sure this probably won't be an issue.

The dollars don't match up, but sentence Noah to Cleveland in a sign and trade for LeBron.
Now that would be a kick-ass reality show.

Orlando Examiner is now officially calling the Bulls the front runner in the LeBron James sweepstakes!

I read it online. Don't know what their sources are, and I don't necessarily believe it because they published it, but they did publish it.

I agree. Most people aren't high on Deng but 18 and 7 isn't bad for 25 year old. Plus they could always package Deng in a deal for a guy like Bosh. LeBron playing the 2 wouldn't be fair but the Bulls wouldn't have any shooters on the court. Something would have to give. Getting Bosh may cost you a guy like Noah. That's worse case. Here is my fantasy lineup for next year:

Bosh
Noah
James
Allen
Rose

It really could happen but a lot of things would have to fall in place. The Bulls would need to include another team in a sign in trade with Toronto because they don't have a need for another SF with the signing of Turk last season. Of course if they worked out a sign and trade with the Cavs for LeBron then none of this would matter. They could sign Bosh without making another deal or they could go after David Lee/Boozer and a guy like Gay.

  Glad things didnt change much here during my mini-hiatus. That lineup is ridiculously impractical. There is no chance whatsoever the Bulls get LeBron and Bosh while keeping Rose Noah and Deng.

Huh? The Bulls could work out a sign and trade deal with Cleveland that includes Deng and Taj and then sign Bosh outright. They could then use the MLE to sign Ray Allen. That would give you the projected lineup that I posted. Possible? Without a doubt. Likely to happen? Probably not.

Pretty much impossible. Cleveland would never sign and trade LeBron to Chicago. I've already read your reasoning for it, and going from my personal viewpoint and also going by all the reports info on it, Cleveland wont sign and trade LeBron to anyone, and the last team they'd consider is Chicago. Quite simply, they wont help LeBron play for someone else. That makes sense to me.

Ray Allen will have more attractive places/offers would be my guess.

We're not gonna get two max guys. At this point let's hope we get one.

If you could get him to agree, Ray Allen as a 6th man would be pretty nice for a championship level team.

I dont see why he wouldnt come back with the C's. They have another run in them left methinks. Especially now that they know they can trust Rondo with the heavy lifting in January/February.

I disagree. We'll see though. Taking back Deng would help them too. Granted he is nowhere near LeBron but he would give them a borderline all star at SF and Taj isn't a bum either. It would give them the youth they need to rebuild. I believe the Bulls and LeBron will find a way to bring 2 guys in.

Even if they don't they will still have another $8M to spend on a good player. Kirk will probably be a Laker next season too.

I'm not sure Deng has even come close to making a AS team yet. I dont see why the Cavs would want him. They wont be close to competing for a title without LeBron, and they'll already have guys like Mo, Jamison, West, Varajeao. Basically they'll be adding a $11 million/year role player to a team full of role players. I dont think their goal is to win precisely between 43-46 games every year.

True. Jamison is old and will be coming off the books in a couple years. If you are a fan and they got NOTHING in return for LeBron it would make you wanna slap yo mama.

Getting Deng's contract would be worse than getting nothing. It'd be like if Seattle got the Clippers instead of nobody when the Sonics left.

Paying Deng $2M more a year than he is worth isn't that bad for a 25 year old player with his talent. Either way I would be happy with adding LeBron and a guy like Al Harrington instead. Plus a few Raja Bell type players.

Well I'd rather have Wade but yeah if we got LeBron and a couple of rotation guys I'd be happy with that. But Deng is not considered a desirable asset like I think you consider him to be. Most teams I think generally acknowledge and stay away from his bad contract.

He was traded. The Bulls targeted him in 2006 but after giving Ben Wallace the $17M they had there was no money left to sign anyone else. On a team that may have LeBron having guys like Harrington is important.

You could do worse for a 7th or 8th guy. Al Harrington really shouldnt make or break a team's season. Best case scenario he can be a Frye type guy off the bench still on the right team.

the problem is harrington will never be a 7th or 8th guy. he wants to start and he wants starting money. his ego wont allow him to play 2nd fiddle
