Why is Grabow pitching the 8th? If you're not going to use Z, put him in the rotation.

John Grabow, the most interesting relief pitcher in the world. I don't always throw balls, but when I don't, they get hit a long way. Stay pukey my friends.

You better hope the Hawks keep going or this shit or the Sox shit is the only thing in down till the Bears open camp in July...and I don't see much happening there either except the Lovie-Angelo countdown.

Drop Out, that's funny as hell. However, should have been the most "suckie-ass" relief pitcher in the world.

Sean Marshall has been getting the short end of the stick for the last three years. He should be in the rotation.

That move is getting dumber each passing day. What good has it done, really?

Exactly, can't believe the idiots around here who thought it was a good idea.

i thought it was an idea worth trying. why not? i stated then and still state now, its not like it was a irreversible move. he wasnt pitching great as a starter, maybe he goes down there and pitches well. who the fuck knows. at least they were trying something.

So are the Cubs in any better spot right now if Z was still in the rotation?

I highly doubt it. Therefore this move was really not a big deal. But if they are not going to use him in the 8th then they might as well put him back in the rotation.

exactly. while he has been in the pen, the cubs are 5-0 in games silva has started during that time. while zambrano may or may not have pitched as well as silva had he been starting, you cant beat the teams 5-0 in that time. and they were never going to send gorzolonny to the pen to be an 8th inning guy anyway. the cubs are 1-3 in games he has started since z went to the pen. even if zambrano had been dynomite, he would have won 3, maybe 4 games at most? its not like this move has cost the cubs valuable places in the standings. they would still be well below .500.

Lindsey Vonn...That's the Olympic skier who didn't do as well in Vancouver at the Winter Olympics but is supposed to guest star on the finale of "Law & Order"...

Ok, does she have a hearing impairment? Or was that the strangest accent I have ever heard in my life?

The ultimate example of why a pitchers record is one of the most meaningless stats in all of sports

i dont agree that this is the ultimate example of that. silva has pitched very well for the cubs, and has earned those wins, it isnt like he has an era over 5 or anything. he has been very efficient and effective.

If a guy with a career ERA near 5 with a 1.4 WHIP has a stat that allows him to be compared favorably to Greg Maddux, that stat is borderline worthless.

Maybe 'ultimate' was too strong of a word, but replace that with very good.

It seemed like a lisp that got stronger as the interview went on.

Those interviews are great.

Especially in close games. Love that they miss pitches for it.
