Good for him. Confidence isn't a bad thing. If they don't make it, it won't be due to a lack of effort from him. Dude's a gamer for sure.

I like it. To me, it is a positive way to call out his teammates. While Hendry and Lou play the role of "boobs"....it is nice to see a player verbally come out say what he thinks this team should be doing.

I don't expect .345 from him all year, but Hendry gets one in the + column for this guy. Question is how many free agents have ended up in the + column during the Hendry regime? Even a blind squirrel can squeeze his own nuts once in awhile. Ryan Dempster comes to mind, who else?

Ted Lilly and Mark Derosa.

Jim Edmonds to a lesser extent?

Those 3 worked well. I know there had to be somebody besides Dempster. Not enough though, obviously. Right now,Nady getting
3mil taking a spot on the roster where a Bobby Scales could have
been. I think Nady will start hitting (I hope!)

Terry and danny have been guaranteeing that all year. Maybe Marlon Byrd is Terry's guy.

Central Divisions are weak, like ukraine.

And if Pujols does end up getting that rumored 50 game suspension for testing positive for ma(n)ny things, the Cubs will be the favorites.

Where are you hearing these rumors?

Also, the Cubs need a lot more help than that to become the favorites.

Da Cub don't have to get better. The other teams just get a little bit worse.
