Cubs will win both games and steal the buzz from the Hawks.

what is it with all these 2 games series going on in MLB these days? Is it because of inter-league play?

Maybe its always been that way...but just seems like a lot this year

I want to see Jamie Moyer continue his glacial assault on 300...then all sports talkers will feel the need to bash him when he does achieve the goal.

What the hell is Baker doing in the outfield....guess they need to get him some AB's wonder if something is wrong with Nady's elbow

That's the only situation where this is okay. Nady is a proven bat when he's healthy. Lou didn't like having to rotate 5 outfielders, so how is 6 better

Colvin has started back to back games, and Nady might be unable to play in the field tonight. Baker is the emergency outfielder, and they don't want Kosuke in against a lefty. I'm okay with this.

Right, if Nady is hurt this is fine I guess although I'm sure Colvin could handle a third day in a row considering how he's swinging the bat.

Baker is a career .111 hitter at Citizens Bank Ballpark

there should be absolutely NO reason this team should resort to baker in the outfield. the cubs have plenty of decent outfielders to prevent him from ever having to be there. fukudome or colvin should bat against a soft-tossing lefty before ever considering putting baker out there.

i give the cubs the benefit of the doubt more than the average fan, but i dont get this at all. as far as colvin having already played in 2 consecutive games and that playing a role in him not playing tonight, that is one of the craziest things i have read on this board full of crazy things.

its jamie fucking moyer. a lefty hitter should have NO problem getting in against this guy and getting good swings.

i hope baker goes 4-4, scores 4 and drives in 4.

I agree with the assessment of Baker in the OF. It still makes little sense.

Jamie Moyer pitches like a left handed Harris from Major League. Jobu needs a refill.

Saw on CLTV before the game that The Cubs resigned Bow Howry.

I was going to suggest this as a possibility a few days ago, but knew I would get lit up. He is a slow starter. If it is for the minimum, why the hell not?

Scott Eyre can't be far behind.....can't wait for Bobby Howry and his one pitch the hittable fastball with no movement

Not as f'd as the Cubs. They just re-signed Bob Howry.

We have a bad bullpen, so we go sign a bad pitcher. Well, that does sound like a Hendry move.

Yes, I'm quoting myself. Len Kasper just said Moyer throws like the old pitcher from Major League. I'm going to pat myself on the back and kick myself in the nuts to make everyone happy.

On WGN radio they just said Baker is 12 - 26 against Phillies. Used that as reason for him in lineup. I think I saw only 3 ab's against Moyer getting 1 hit. Northside Dan's info. Showing .111 was how many ab's? It is strange why Baker is out there but Lou did manage Moyer for several years in Seattle so maybe he thinks he knows something.

I asked Moyer's Great Grandpa Reason for a scouting report. I have not heard back.

That the Cubs and Phillies would be playing? It was on the schedule months ago.
