Always bean one of my favorites. Decent pitcher, hotter wife. Honestly though, sad to see him (or anyone) go so young.

How sad. He was in KC during the same time I lived there, saw him pitch several times. Seemed like a really cool dude.

Won 20 and Lost 20 games.

I remember him pitching a gem in the playoffs against the Cardinals, 2004 I think. He was dancing and fist pumping after every out and the crowd was eating it up. Quite the entertainer.

It's always a reality check when someone younger than you dies. I said the same thing when the lovely Lena Horne passed on.

This is sad. By all accounts he was a good guy. He was a favorite of Jim Rome, and was funny whenever he was on his show.

Was saddened to hear the news.

He became part of "Score Lore" when Julie Schewika said Lima had grooved a pitch for fellow Domincan Sammy Sosa (I want to in 1998). Her only justification, IIRC, at the time was statements she heard in the pressbox by some Houston sports writer.

I was 24x7 scorehead in those days and remember the calls for and against her comments.

I was amazed by how long this guy was employed by major league teams. He's a latin version of Sidney Ponson.

It is sad to see him go. He was entertaining, but im glad he never pitched in Chicago.

For his sake, I hope he went out during sex with her.......whew!

Definitely a reality check, as I'm a year older than Jose was.
