I was thinking the same thing. That stiff is going to start getting a little gamy very soon.

So if I drop my phone in the toilet, I'm fucked, but if I accidentally eat my SIM card, I'm good?

The real hero tonight? The pyloric sphincter, keeping that sim card out of the intestines just long enough for ol' Jack.

Who didn't at least think 'oh shit' as Jack finally heard Logan's name? :D

Yeah...

...if the last two hours of the show was just Jack torturing Logan and then killing him as the clock ran out, that would be alright with me.

Guilty as charged.

The writing is just awful. I'm glad the end is insight.

Guess I'm in the minority, but I've enjoyed this season. I think the last two seasons have more than made up for lackluster season 6. It's been a little ridiculous at times, but I think anytime you have a show like this what do you expect from these people after 180-some episodes and eight seasons of this world Jack Bauer lives in. I think the ride has been awesome this season. And, I didn't think "oh shit." I'm pretty sure I blurted it out. What are the odds on Jack being dead at the end of this season? I'm thinking its 50/50. I'm having a hard time how this one goes any other way at this point.

Oh, I said it out loud and laughed like a little girl!

I don't know what all the ragging on this season or the last is about; I mean, the show had one shit season and, fwiw, it wasn't like anybody made us watch it anyway.

I really hoped from the onset that, in the end finally, Jack would "win" and fly off into the sunset w/ Rene out to be with his family in L.A., but obviously that's not gonna happen. He's clearly losing his shit and I think a dead Jack is getting ever increasingly more likely. Then again, one could argue that as the early part of the year with the promise of Jack's quiet retirement was a red herring, so too could this extreme shit-storm he's up against be cover for an ending that's not somehow just donkey-dung for Jack.

I always like it when Jack tortures people. Loved the propane torch and the acid.

Well, Jack may have lost it, but at least he still has the respect to refer to Logan as "Mr. President."

Oh, and listening to that bitch squirm as Jack was walking down the tunnel was sweet...

...and if they ever make an "Army of Two" movie...

Interesting tidbit while awaiting the series finale next week ... if one goes to this link:

http://goldderbyforums.latimes.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1106078764/m/136107104

... it's essentially an exhaustive list of every person on every show. No big deal ....

.... except if one scrolls down to the last name under "Drama Guest Actor", it lists this: 24 (Gary Oldman)

 :D :D :!:

Also, from what I read here and there, the only thing that seems impossible is Jack's death; however, it would seem two major characters get whacked in the last show ... my guesses are Cole and Pres. Taylor. I would say Chloe, but she's done interviews where she talked about the wrap party not being so depressing because she'll have the chance to work with everyone again for the movies (yes, plural).

Genuinely sad last night at the end of the episode that next week will be the last 24 ever. Haven't missed an episode since season 1. I thought this show lost it's way midway through this season, but last night's episode was awesome.

Seeing Logan freaking out in the back of that limo and Jack putting hit foot over the hole he shot in the windshield was A+ television.

The black outfit with the bullet proof mask was awesome. I agree that last night's episode was stellar.

I know they said there's going to be a 24 movie. However, it could always be a prequel, so the question is: does Jack die next week? I don't think he will.

I think Cole takes him out right before he shoots the Russian president.

Freddy Prinze Jr. killing Jack Bauer would ruin 8 years of televsion.

This seems to be what the entire season was a set up for. It couldn't be a "bad guy" that gets Jack. It either has to be Jack himself, or somebody like Jack.

Cole is a dead man for killing the two hillbillies that were blackmailing Dana.
24 always gets rid of characters who make moral/ethical mistakes like that.

What a payoff Monday night. That whole scene with Jack in the black outfit, slowly making his way to Logan. Great drama. The Logan character is one of my all time favorites in television. "THat's...That's JACK BAUER! HE'S COMING FOR ME!" HAHAHAHA

Finally got all caught up last night. The last two episodes have been really good. Can't see how Jack is able to walk away from this whole thing scott free. Maybe a full Presidential pardon? Seems unlikely...

He's toast dude. He's dead, locked away, or never returns to the US again. That whole granddaughter thing isn't gonna work out for him.

That would kind of suck. I think his death or lock up would give me an empty feeling at the end of all this....so I'm pretty sure they will keep that in mind. :D

HA! I got it! They'll pull a Sopranos! That's totally it. Got it. Cole has Bauer in sights as we see through the scope and then...

2:59:57

2:59:58

2:59:59

3:00:00

END SHOW

END SERIES

Wow. David Chase would be proud. Now all we need is some Journey song to throw in there. Hmmm... Talk about being pissed after 8 seasons...

Predictions please:

Jack dead?
President Impeached?
Somebody finds the dead parole officer hidden in the conference room wall?
Jack's granddaughter is a Russian spy?

Whatever the case, I will go out on a limb and say this finale is better than Lost's without even seeing it yet...

Which one?

Jack - alive
President - killed
Parole officer - never found
Freddy Prinze Jr. - dead
Island - saved, but unimportant

No way Jack kills himself. It doesn't work for his character. He forces someone to kill him...
