While Gary's best known for his work on "Diff'rent Strokes" from 1978-86 as Arnold Jackson, his adult life had been anything but and always seemed to get into trouble, whether domestically or financially.

I'm disappointed SHARK, I was sure I'd get a reference to the "Frank Thomas-looking former child star." :(

Frank Thomas? As Gary would've said on "Diff'rent Strokes", "Who ya talkin' about Mel Junior?"

At first, I didn't realize it was an after-effect of a fall ... thus it seems less likely that my statement was accurate.

For those that care, I essentially was laughing at the use of the term "intercranial hemorrhage" because I am certain they're being careful of not using the term STROKE in association w/ Gary.

That said, if it was a stroke (different or otherwise), I think it's funny as hell, so there.

Good night, funnyman.

Gary provided a lot of laughs during my childhood.

I highly doubt he is resting in peace. That was one angry bitter little dude. The ghost adventures need to do a lock down in a year or so for him.

WWME 23, the Weigel Broadcasting-owned station known as MeTV, will be featuring an 8-hour marathon of classic "Diff'rent Strokes" featuring the late Gary Coleman in the role that made him famous starting at 11a tomorrow.

Here's something else you may not necessarily know about Gary. While athletes & other fellow actors earn millions for their work today, I bet you didn't know that Gary was one of the highest paid child stars in TV. Back in 1978 when "Strokes" premiered on NBC, $100,000 was considered a lot of money. Gary was earning anywhere from $100K per episode to $3 million a year in salary during the show's long run, 1978-85 on NBC and the 1985-86 season on ABC.

I feel bad for him. I'm watching "Nightline". He made 18 million dollars as a kid and never saw a dime of it. His parents and others fleeced him of all of it.
