I've lived through the Hoiberg, El Amin, Mercer, Fizer, etc. days. I can handle having LeBron on the team I guess. It sure wont be a very fun team to root for though if he brings his Dwight Howard mindset to Chicago.

Exactly why I cant stand him and Dwight, and why I would rather have Wade leading my team. Many might disagree, but I think LeBron owes Cleveland alot better than what he's given to them, the team and the city. Wade doesnt owe Miami anything, especially anymore, and he still refuses to quit on his team even when there's no possible way of winning a series. That's why, for now anyway, I have much more respect for Wade than LeBron or Kobe. Kobe has pulled a LeBron-in-Game-5 three or four times in his career. I cant remember Wade ever quitting.

I don't remember Kobe quitting. Shooting his team out of a game but not quitting. I do remember him passing the ball a lot in the Phoenix series a few years back after Phil told him to stop shooting at halftime. I'm not sure if there is a guy in the league that wants to win more than Kobe. Reminds me of MJ. Wade is right there too. That's why I've been saying for a while that I would rather have Wade with the game on the line than LeBron. He just seems to want it more. LeBron seems to only want to give by on his natural ability. I don't believe he has in him what those guys do. Maybe it has something to do with all the hype since HS.

He absolutely quit in Game 7 of that PHX series. Even the staunchest Kobe supporter has to see that. I actually wont kill him about the 39 point loss to Boston to be eliminated, he genuinely seemed to give a shit till it was out of hand and noone could help him. He definitely quit in that Detroit Finals in 2004, but Shaq and Phil might have had something to do with it. I dont think we'll ever see that Kobe again, but it has been there before.

Phil had a lot to do with that Game 7 defeat. The Lakers were winning because Kobe had to gun and the Phil decides to bitch about it at halftime. He showed Phil what happens when he doesn't gun. Granted he picked the wrong time to do it. I actually thought he was the only one that showed up in the Pistons series. Still one of the all time upsets IMO. I would have bet my life the Lakers would destroy the Pistons.

IIRC he was awesome in Game 2 and single handedly kept it from a sweep, I think he might have hit a game winner that game too. After that from what I remember he was horrible. I might be wrong, might be worth a look at basketball-reference.

And like you said, Game 7 is the wrong time to do it. Phil hated playing basketball that way, although it was obviously the only way for the '06 Lakers to win. I think today's Kobe guns out a Game 7 win and then talks shit subtley to Phil in the post game press conference. Quitting was the wrong answer though, just to prove a childish point.

Bulls planning to hire Adrian Griffin

The Racine Journal-Times reports: The Bulls are set to hire Adrian Griffin as an assistant coach on Tom Thibodeau's staff, according to the Racine Journal-Times.

Griffin, 36, spent the last two seasons on Scott Skiles' staff in Milwaukee. Griffin also played for Skiles with the Bulls.

The Bulls have made no official announcement but Griffin told the Journal-Times he was excited by the opportunity.

"I am very fortunate," Griffin said. "I was just a player two years ago and now I'm a coach. It's very competitive to make an NBA team as a player, but it's even more competitive to become an NBA coach."
