So M & H take a call from a guy who just got home from Underground. He was partying with the Hawks and apparently some Cubs were there......Dempster till 5 AM and today's starter Kyle Wells who packed it in early about 3 AM.

Well, when I was in Cincinnatti in 2008 for a road trip to see the Cubs in a late season series vs the Reds, I was returning to the hotel (Fountain Square Westin-where the ballclub was also staying) at about 1:00am and Depster was just LEAVING the hotel in a Cab. I thought that was rather odd, but he was having a great season, so I just figured whatever his habits were/are, he can handle it. But if this is the kind of thing he does regularly, I have to think it's not helping him perform at his best. Certainly Wells performance level has slipped of late. Maybe a bit more rest would benefit them both.
