They need him in this series, especially in a big game like tomorrow nights.

Rasheed has been knocking down that outside shot throughout the playoffs. That forces his man to play honest and spreads the floor. No one cares about Perkins shooting a jumper.

perkins is a huge loss. they are in some serious shit without him. davis is a great energy guy down low, and has some offensive gifts, sheed can hit 3's and play a little d, but perkins was all business in the lane, the physical "do not enter" sign down low. the lakers are going to ATTACK the rim. shelden williams just became an important player for boston, and that aint good. the good news is that scalabrine will probably dress, and that guy is fucking AWESOME.

 I dont need my C's jacking threes. You take guys like Bargagni and I'll take the Noah's and Perkins of the league.

The guy that you think is stretching the floor and causing matchup problems is shooting 33%, 23% from the arc, and averaging 4 ppg and 4 rpg this series

Those C's jacking up 3's is one of the reasons why they won several of those games against Cleveland and Orlando. You know Bosh is a guy that can spread the floor too?

Please tell me you aren't comparing Sheed (at this point in his career) to Bosh????

Mr. Smiley face Rasheed was shooting 40% from the arc for the entire playoffs until his 0-6 game in game 6. He is still shooting over 35%. Ray Allen is shooting 29% from the arc for the series and I'm sure no one would leave him open for a 3.

Mr. Basketball he said I can take the Bargagni's of the world (guys that can spread the floor and shoot) and he will take guys like Noah and Perkins that play good defense in the paint (No one asked for that option). I pointed out that Bosh can spread the floor too because I'm sure he wouldn't take any of those guys over Bosh. Who would? Did that clear things up for you?

Sorry, my memory isn't working too well right now. Remind me again, what has Bosh ever won/accomplished in his career?

Is that your argument? Really? Wow! That has to be one of the stupidest things I've read. I guess that really means Wade is the only free agent anyone should go after. That also makes Adam Morrison a hot commodity.

Don't be so obtuse HOVA....it's obvious who is a role player and who is a superstar. Superstars are supposed to win something. Period.

Uh.no....you're telling me expectations for Adam Morrisson and Bosh are the same? it's the same in life- you do more, more is expected of you. If someone is expecting a max contract, that player should be a top tier player that is going to take that team to a title. That's really what the problem is with the NBA- that lesser players are given huge deals when they are not difference makers. Bosh has not proven he's a difference maker.

I mean when Jordan missed a FT, did you hear him saying "oh well Chris Dudley misses a lot of FT's"

Point is yes, if Bosh is supposedly worthy of a max deal, then he should be able to accomplish something

That wasn't the point. Actually I'm not sure what the point is because it has changed so much. Either way I ASSumed anyone would want Bosh over Perkins or Noah and FF asked me what has Bosh won or accomplished.

Yes I asked you what he has won. You havent answered because you cant. He's made the playoffs in a HORRIBLE Conference what, like twice in 7 years? You love guys that can stretch the floor. When's the last superstar like that who won a title? KG in 2008 wouldnt qualify. Sheed in 2004 is the only one I can think of, and he was still a beast defensively during that time.

You can have the Bosh's and Dirks of the league. They are certainly better than Perkins and Noah. But if you cant see by now those guys dont win you championships, I dont think I'll be able to convince you. But your 'Sheed over Perkins arguement is one of the dumber NBA arguments I've heard here.

What does any of this have to do with spreading the floor or Bosh being better at basketball? You've tried to change the debate about 4 times. Sheed spreads the floor better than Perkins and he has been knocking down the 3pt shot in the playoffs. While he isn't as good of a defender he has length and he will at least try to defend (willing defender). I made no argument about who was the better player at this point in their careers. I didn't make an argument about star players not having to win. I also made no argument about what type of player I would rather have (guy that can shoot or a guy that hustles and plays defense). You did that. You violated the John Kirk Rule.

I never violated the John Kirk rule. Apparently you dont know what it is. It's basically putting words in someones mouth to change the argument. I never put words in your mouth or misquoted you.

OK I will give you that Sheed spreads the floor better than Perkins. But thats a bad thing, not a good thing. They have shooters. He's a pretty bad offensive option. If he gives you 12 points these days thats a big game for him. They need someone to defend and rebound in the post. He cant do that really anymore. Perkins does that better than anyone on the team. It's ridiculous that you think Sheed is a better option because he's a better 3 point shooter, when the fact is he's not a good shooter anyway now, and he's pretty garbage at everything else. You're the only one I've heard say he's a better option than Perkins right now.

I brought up the Bosh and Dirk thing not to change the argument, but to hopefully diminish your infatuation with soft guys that dont play in the post but can shoot. Those usually arent the types winning titles, that was my only point on that issue.
