For those board members that have taken shots at my podcast, I challenge them to start a podcast and get interviews with the guests that Robin Earl and I have to date. Robin and I have received alot of positive feedback. Most fill in hosts can't accomplish what we have. Jason Goff, Matty, and Lawrence Holmes wish their shows sounded as good as Bearly Legal.

And you wish you had as many people listening as Goff/Matty/LoHo. Such is the way of the world.

This should make the board more enjoyable for the next 3-4 hours.

I accept the challenge but only if it is for a knife fight to the death

David,
I am not one that critiques your show. I HAVE listened a few times and thought it was not bad. If I can offer one opinion,it would be to interview someone relevant in the 21st Century once in awhile, just for shits and giggles.

When I see or hear "barely legal" I think of girls who just turned 18. Your shows a HUGE letdown

I don't have a negative thing to say about your show at all. In fact, I think you got some sack to do it.
If I had a gripe that wasn't me just being a dick to be a dick, I'd say it's your style of promotion. Spam style. You basically only come here really to spam us.
Not that I can't filter it out.
But can I call into your show to plug my band and offer absolutely no thoughts on the topic that your show focuses on?
Don't take it too personal like.

I don't really have an opinion on your show one way or another. But it doesn't seem like most of the bashing you take on this board has much to do with your show, your guests or your co-host. It seems like most people just don't like you and what you do on this board. With that in mind, maybe the challenge should be to have people be you for a day and see if they can do better. Just start a "Being David Spada" thread and then pm people with your password and see if there posts are better than yours. Although I don't know if I'd call that a challenge.

Yeah, it's kind of like if I were to do something like this for my show in your thread, Dave-
http://www.mediafire.com/file/jkexlny2ynm/SH&S #104 6-22-10.mp3
Of course we have no guests and a shitty phone line at the moment....and really don't have any cogent thoughts....other than that, it's great.

You have my permission to post your link in my thread if you want, but first you've gotta do that linky thing. :P

It would be like walking through a strange little door and then suddenly spending your day talking to D level sports figures and bitter washed up ex sports radio hosts. Then you would stop by the board to spread some joy and give out some magnets....I am not sure how lesbian Cameron Diaz fits into all of this but I am working on it. I am pretty sure that it has something to do with Chet Coppock.

I don't dislike your show, David. I haven't listened to it. I dislike you, though. You are an attention whore who wants a sports radio station PM to kiss your ass in exchange for your (likely limited) advertising dollars. Maybe Rosen has bigger fish to fry than to take dirty money from a guy who represents people who endanger innocent lives. See how fast you can alienate the ad reps and PM at the 3rd radio station, if it becomes a reality.

Your constant braggadocio & obsession with the Score bench belies a deep insecurity in your skills as a broadcaster. No one here needs to listen to a second of your show to know that.

sticks and stones can break your bones but words can never hurt you :P

spada can't stand that nobody here gives a flying fuck about his shitty show. why robin earl wastes his time doing a show with you is the question. Without earl, spada would be interviewing.................stan from bellwood???
now go home and type up your next unfunny, uninteresting, arguement that can be shot down with a pea shooter and then hope you have a couple drunks call in to support your hobby of irritating the sporting world.

I think people would be more willing to listen to your show/ not rip you if you actually interacted with the board instead of just spamming us and telling us how great you are. You come off as a self important jackass. All you have done in the sports radio world is pay for advertising. Stop acting like you're God's gift to the world.

Your challenge is nothing more than trying to be an internet bully. There are a LOT of guys on here who I would dare say know a heck of a lot more than you do on most if not all sports related topics. It's just that we have real jobs and families and don't have time to go play radio host. I did it for a while about 6-7 years ago. It was fun. We had an ok following, but it was a way to blow off steam and have some fun: not to be attention whores. A sports podcast of board members would outdraw yours by about a thousand times. Also, there's enough guys on here with contacts that our guest list would be better, and a whole lot more relevant.

So what do you say Spada? Are you just going to sit silent again in one of your usual "I"M BETTER THAN THE WORLD! BEARLY LEGAL SHOULD BE A DRIVE TIME SHOW" threads? Or are you going to come talk to the masses.

I'm betting you're going to be a big pussy.

You're a lawyer. Strike 1

You've made a living defending people who have knowingly put others in mortal danger by being shit faced behind the wheel. Strike 2

The only time you post is to promote yourself or bitch that someone treated you poorly. Strike 3

Go the fuck away Spada. I'd rather listen to an endless podcast of John Kirk and Elmhurst Steve giving eachother reacharounds than one millisecond of you talking about anything.

spada's non response says it all. I love this board because of you guys here. Even some of those who dont care much for me. Some of you guys are so fucking witty. You crack me up. Spada cannot respond to some of your posts. No comeback. You guys owned the weasel. Great Job!

Hopefully he'll get the message. He bashes the Score regularly but if they offered him a show tomorrow he'd jump on it. Typical shallow asswipe radio wannabe DUI attorney.

Funny how the more he shows up here, the less I want to take the time to try his web sports thing.
