Although I like Dirk, I think Bosh is a better fit with this team. Bosh plays better D and when you're in a 7 game series yu're going to need that .

Yeah, but who is shooting 3 pointers on this team? I'd like to think the defensive mastermind that is Tommy Thibs could muster a little bit better of a defensive effort out of Dirk. Trust me LBJ and Dirk is cancer to the rest of the league. I know it wont happen, but w/e Ill take Bosh. Even tho his putting up good numbers on a bad team should be a red flag.

We need spacing more than we need another person clogging up the lane.

Obviously with some HUGE assumptions in place, a 2011 Bulls v Lakers finals would have a few interesting taglines such as:

x Bulls vs Lakers = mirroring the beginning of the original Bulls dynasty as well as its 20th anniversary
x (un)Official torch passing - Magic to MJeff / Kobe to LBJ
x Phil's 'old' team trying to stop his 'new' team from completing his equalizing 6th championship quest

That's ratings gold, Jerry.

Just a scenario to think about while waiting for coffee or taking a squirt.

Dirk isn't leaving Dallas. The Bulls will find someone to shoot 3's. That's not really a hard problem to solve.

This guy turned down his $2.1 million player option for next season and is available on the free agent market:

SAS is saying LBJ and Bosh to Miami is a done deal.

SAS is the same person who claimed about a week ago that the Knicks would be signing James, and today said that the Knicks no longer having Isiah Thomas to recruit is the reason that James isn't going there.

If James does go to Miami, this is just a lucky guess for SAS.

If SS is saying they are going to Miami that makes me feel pretty confident they will not end up there.

Pretty much how I feel. I think over the next 3 or 4 days, we're going to hear a lot of rumors that aren't true. After the Knicks/Nets meet with James, how many reports are we going to get that the meeting went great and that these teams are optimistic about a deal?

As for SAS, I think he's just trying to be the one guy who says something different.

Quite Frankly, its a calculated risk worth taking

Probably true. He'll get more hits at his twitter page, and I think I read he's being considered for a new show on Showtime (no idea why).

I think we'll see a flurry of action once LeBron James announces his intentions. I believe he'll have met with the 6 teams on his list by the 2nd or 3rd of July. I think we'll know quickly, no later than the 5th, and probably sooner of where he's going.

I wonder who is starting these Lebron to the Clippers rumors. How can any of them be serious? Even if Lebron went to the Clippers, they would still be the 2nd NBA team in LA. And that is one of the worst franchises in the history of sports. There is no possible way this happens.

I think it's a lot of people trying to get their name on ESPN etc by saying they know a guy etc. I think at this point there are so many rumors out there, journalists are not going to feel any negative repercussions from just throwing some shit on the wall and and hope they get lucky

What rumors are you referring to? Besides LeBron's agreement to hear their presentation, I haven't heard anyone say the Clippers have a chance.

SAS makes Jim Rome look reasonable. If I needed information, I wouldn't ask SAS for directions to the men's room.

The ammount of misinformation is pretty staggering. ESPN is reporting that because of an alleged 'Summit' of Bosh, Wade, and James in Miami that the three will ultimately end up there together.

Between World Wide Wes and SAS, who do you think has a better pulse on the free agent market?

I might jump off a bridge if the Bulls end up with mid-level full boat free agents after all is said and done. I already had my prolonged stay in basketball hell after Jordan left the second time.

This just goes to show how quickly rumors can grow when nobody really has any idea what anyone else is doing. As a few people on the board have already stated, these reporters can just make anything up and hope that they get lucky.

If you can get Joe Johnson for a 4 year, less than Max deal - he's an ideal complement to LBJ. But I read that since he's the oldest of the big FAs that he wants that 6 year deal because he probably doesn't have another contract in him like LBJ and Bosh do.

Otherwise, I'd love to find a way to add Mike Miller or Raja Bell.

Looks like Stephen A Smith may have gotten it right.

Summit did not happen, according to a Miami source. I'll look for the article.

edit:

Wade, LBJ, Bosh Summit didn't happen in Miami
ESPN is reporting that Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh had a meeting about their futures right here in Miami.

790 The Ticket has learned via Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald that Dwyane Wade was not even in Miami this weekend (Story by Wallace on its way).

(UPDATE) Bosh & Wade's agent Henry Thomas has denied the ESPN report to the Miami Herald.

Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald had this article in yesterday's edition where he interviewed Wade at Chicago's O'Hare airport.

790 The Ticket's Jorge Sedano has learned that Wade's itinerary beginning Thursday went like this...

Thursday: Las Vegas
Friday: Chicago (in court to wrap divorce case)

Saturday: Still in Chicago, "Taste of Chicago" w/ kids, Saturday night dropped kids off at new ex-wife

Sunday: All day in Chicago, met w/Mike Wallace at O'Hare

Sunday night - flew back from CHI to destination X

Wade is currently at undisclosed destination on vacation to set his professional agenda.

So, the reality is that if these players met anywhere it was last week on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

It could not have been Thursday because Chris Bosh was making the rounds through the ESPN car wash.

The good news is if you're a Heat fan, that the Stephen A. Smith story seems to be on the money up to this point.

You can now return to your regularly scheduled speculation.

Thank You!

JS
