Yesterday while I was watching ESPN Sportscenter....or maybe Baseball Tonight (I don't remember as it was on in the background), I heard Tim Kurchan (sp?) say that Joe Torre may be parting ways with the Dodgers and may likely end up with the Cubs after this season.

Was I just dreaming this? I'm pretty sure I could feel my headache from Saturday. :eye:

I don't know about the Cubs part, but he said that he will give the Dodgers his decision before the season ends so as not to delay their coaching search. I would assume he's talking about retirement.

Yeah, I think it was mere speculation on his part. If I were more of a Cub fan, I'd be all for him. Actually, be all for him either way. Always seemed like a pretty classy guy. 8)

At this point, I think whoever manages this team is irrelevant. Too many bad contracts to ride out.

This. I don't think that any quality manager who has any mlb experience would want to take on this mess...

Its funny how all of the sudden Torre became this great fucking manager once he got the Yankees job, didnt see a whole lot of pennants being hung on the walls when he was with the Mets, Braves and Cardinals. Fuck him, his brother Frank ,and the goat they rode in on.

Amazing how good a $200M payroll team can make a manager look.
