I heard Goff for a little bit yesterday--what an embarrassing performance. He repeatedly said that he was standing by his sources, but then also repeatedly said that everything could change. The guy sounded like a total goof.
He said tonight that his story was before the James meeting, and it was correct at the time, but things have since changed with the James presentation.
He's never going to admit that he either just made up this story based on getting caught up in the hype on Friday from Wade's 2nd visit or got this from the bad information that is provided rapid-fire on Twitter.
Either way, no big deal. I do like Goff, but he's not a NBA Insider despite what the station would have you believe. He's an entertaining host, and a funny guy, but that's where it ends.
