I could be wrong, but I doubt that he'd have a prime-time TV special to crap all over his home town. My money remains on him staying in Cleveland. I think that pretty much anyone on this board could be doing a better job of "reporting" this mess. It's been mostly hearsay and conjecture to keep people watching and its worked. Just wait a couple of weeks and you'll be treated to the the return of Favre circus that has become the custom these past few years.

He ASKED that the proceeds be donated by ESPN.

Fat chance.

wade and bosh to the heat.

espn no longer even mentions chicago in the free agent talk. its all about the knicks heat and cavs right now. lebron is staying in cleveland most likely. looks like the bulls are the one team that is going to completely swing and miss. i didnt see that coming at all. puzzling how the team with the best core is getting the shaft. i wouldnt even say theyre going to get boozer or lee at this point. just a boatload of money to spend on nothing

The Bulls will be a better team next season no matter what. They just didn't get Bosh. Bosh isn't that much better than the other PF options.

Expect Yahoo to break the news about where LeBron is going. No chance ESPN will kill the ratings of their own show.

I still think it depends on who the Bulls get. If they don't get Lee/Boozer, they won't really be that much better. Either way, I think we are back to NBA hell.

The Bulls could get better, but the competition in the East at the top could be tougher as well. Assuming Lebron stays in Cleveland, the Bulls have to deal with Orlando, Miami, Boston, Cleveland, and hell, even Atlanta if you look at their recent history. We might be better, but it may not matter. Still won't be a top 4 seed most likely.

I don't. Orlando will still be better but that's the only thing I'm sure about. Miami will be great if they sign the queen but they won't have a bench. If the Bulls get Lee or Boozer and some shooter I believe they will be fine. A top 4 team.

The goal for the Bulls was not just "to get better" but to become a legitimate championship contender. They have failed to do so yet again.

One interesting point I heard yesterday from a Cleveland reporter is that Rose has let it be known he's not interested in becoming a 2nd banana. I wonder how his lack of enthusiasm during the recruiting process figured into the Bulls' free agent failure.

I have heard this too and do not buy it. I want some proof of him actually saying this in print or on video. Otherwise I think it is BS.

I don't buy it either. He was willing to play 2nd banana to Gordon and Salmons.

He did it last year with Salmons. They had to take Salmons away from him to make him shoot. In some ways this may be best. Bosh and Wade are 2 guys that never stay healthy all season. I still expect Wade to breakdown sooner rather than later. Right now I don't think Miami will be better than the Bulls unless they sign LeBron. The only team I know will be better is the Magic. With the Celtics getting a year older and Cleveland not likely getting that much better the Bulls could be a top 2 team.

For last season, Rose averaged the highest number of field goal attempts/game in January. Salmons wasn't traded until late February. His shot attempts were down early in the season because he was struggling with injury problems, or so reporters said.

If the Bulls have a core of Rose, Boozer, Noah and Deng next season, they could be a pretty dangerous team. But they still won't be a championship contender.

Add some shooters with that and I believe they could. While Orlando has a great team on paper they really don't scare me. I know I'm a meatball fan but I think the Bulls could come out of the East next season if they get Lee/Boozer and 2 or 3 other really good players. They would have more depth than any of the other teams. Obviously this only happens if their top 3 players take another step in their development. I expect them to.

The Bulls need to get ahold of Lebron and try to see what will get him to come here. Boozer or Lee, with any shooter isn't good enough. Paxson and Gar need to be fired. They can say Boozer makes them better, but they still lose in the 2nd at best.

All I heard leading up to this process was how the Bulls had the best the group to build around for any free agent looking to come here. Add in the big market (except for New York) and the ability to sign 2 guys and everything was golden. Now it's looking like nothing and people are trying to save face posting about guys that didn't come here and how they'll be hurt, aren't really that good, blah, blah, blah.

Such a disapointment. Please don't start about "looking to next year". Even if the potentials don't re-sign with their current teams, what precedent is there that they would sign here?????

You make it sound so simple, just call up Lebron and give him whatever he wants. Don't you think they have done that???

Goff's sources must be retarded. I guess the Bull's can start their ticket campaign with last years ass whipping the Cavs gave them in the playoffs.

Bosh said he wants to win a championship. They won't win shit, unless they get Lebron also. That roster is brutal.

Chad Ford is tweeting that the Bulls, Nets, and Cavs are intensifing negotations with Boozer to influence Lebron. I'll only take him, if Lebron joins also. Chad Johnson has been tweeting that Lebron is going to New York.

I don't know about this Boozer guy.....

Someone will say that....guaranteed. We finally have the low post presence that the Bull haven't had since Elton Brand.

Ok LeBron....get your head out of your ass..tell your boys to take a walk..and sit down and think about what is best. The Bulls have made it easier for you.
