Still to early to even think about this.

that's what I should've gone with.

No respect for a Pistons team that lost Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince
to injury for large chunks of last season and will have them back and healthy and should have a seasoned PG, with some big body draft picks to compliment Prince/Rip/Ben Gordon?

Cavs--much more interesting if they are the 8th seed and the Heat the 1 seed.

I guess given the relative records over the last several seasons of Western Conference teams (way better) vs Eastern, players no doubt saw easier/more/better opportunities to go deep in the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.

Had to quote this off....so you and D-bag are both picking Stan Van Gundy and his Magic men over Riley and Wade/James/Bosh? this calls for a return of:

And a bookmark of this thread.

IMO 3 players won't win you a championship when you have to put 11 other min salary guys around them. Boston already had players there and they added a couple minimum salary guys. They're going to field a team of these guys. I wish the Bulls would have taken a chance on Beasley in a trade.

Not talking winning it all in this thread, just who posts the best record in the Eastern Conference next season.

Phil Jackson/Kobe/Gasol/Artest/D Fisher et all don't really factor into that calculation.

That's why I said 3-6 could really be in any order. There's going to be a blob of mediocrity in the east. I could seriously these those 4 teams finishing in any order from 3-6.

This can't happen. Division winners are guaranteed a top 4 seed. Bulls will win the Central, so they'll have to be a top 4 seed.

1. Heat
2. Magic
3. Bulls
4. Celtics
5. Bucks
6. Hawks
7. Nets
8. Bobcats

Nets will be better.

Good point, I didn't factor in the way they seed division winners now. I think the Nets will be improved this year also, but still not a playoff team. Im still surprised that everything thinks the Cavs are going to be horrendous next year.

They will still be better than:
Pistons
Knicks
Nets
Pacers
76ers
Wizards
Raptors (I think they will have the worst record in the east next season)
