I kind of like where Deng fits in now.
We have a team that is going to shoot for an absurd field goal percent.
FG% Career
Boozer 54%
Noah 51%
Gibson 49%
Rose 48%
Deng 47%
Johnson 45%
Korver 43% but 49% last year and 53% from 3PT
Reddick 42% and 39% 3PT
So we get that post garbage from Noah. Boozer says he wants to show off his low post game. Boozer and Deng give you the mid range stuff. Korver and Reddick open it all up as long as they're hitting their 3's. And both of them might as well plant their ass behind that line and fire away....cause in each of their cases, they are either as good as or better shooters from beyond the arc!! And then Derrick can run wild, and possibly surpass 50% FG% this year.
Taj and Johnson should only improve upon already good to decent percentage numbers.
We already led the league in boards last year.....and now added Boozer. We'll control the boards, shoot for a high percent, will have 2-3 real legitimate outside threats, have one of the very best point guards in the league, and will be a team that gets better defensively as we learn Thibs' system, and as he teaches a group of guys with a desire to learn, get better, and achieve greater results.
Well they better shoot for a high percentage because this team will be a sieve defensively.
