The Bulls were not able to land LeBron James, Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh, but they did add Carlos Boozer and Kyle Korver.

All in all, Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf has only one regret since free agency started.

"I regret the fact that we lost Kirk Hinrich," Reinsdorf told the Daily Herald. "But if we hadn't moved Kirk, we couldn't have been a player.

"It was clear LeBron wasn't going to come [to the Bulls] by himself. Somebody else had to come with him, so we had to take that shot. It didn't work out, so now I feel bad that Kirk is gone, but I don't regret taking the shot."

See this is where that collusion between Bosh, Wade, and LeBron was a bit shady.
They purposely misled teams into thinking they were players when they absolutely were not.

I agree. While losing Kirk hurt the Bulls some I'm sure the Cavs would have loved to be able to spend that $14M they have when good players were available.

I agree. They took the chance and got burned by team LeBron.

I subscribe to the conspiracy theory that a side effect of them agreeing to play together was that other teams would weaken themselves in an effort to be a "player", as the Bulls did with Hinrich. Did the Bulls severely weaken themselves by trading Hinrich? probably not, but a lot of teams dumped decent NBA players for nothing just to clear up cap space. I'm sure they considered this.

Many folks around here complained about Hinrich for the last few years, now they are complaining that he is gone. Bitch, bitch, bitch.

True but he was a great defender. And he wouldn't be shooting as much with the team the way it is now.
