When Tiki Barber suddenly retired from the New York Giants a few years ago, he decided to trade in his #21 Giants' royal blue jersey in favor of a suit, shirt, tie with both NBC News as a "contributor" on its morning news/talk franchise "The Today Show" and on NBC Sports during football season on its "Football Night in America" pregame show.
Tiki recently made front page news himself when he dumped his pregnant wife after 11 years in favor of 23 year-old former NBC intern Traci Lynn-Johnson last April, according to the New York Post. With more dirty laundry in Page Six today about more rumored mudslinging between Tiki & his ex-wife, there are reports that NBC News & Sports has parted company with the former football player, "Today" contributor & "Football Night" analyst. A source close to Barber's camp claims that he has parted company with the "Peacock" in the wake of the scandal, a job that pays Tiki $300,000 a year.
TVNewser reports that NBC isn't commenting on the accuracy of the report, let alone if Tiki is still employed by NBC News. He was still a contributor to the "Today Show" as of late April.
