He's talking about the Cubs still being in it on the postgame.

The man is drinking.

If they didn't shit themselves vs the pirates by goig 3-9 and say actually went 9-3 they would at least be over .500

with our talent do u blame him?

this is the same core of talented veterans thats been doing it for 3-4 years...i dont see why we cant now

the last 2 games have been signature games from the last 4 years

one, an offensive pounding, the second, a low-scoring game where we use the homeruns to come back and win late

in both cases, the pitching was superb (no, Howry's inning doesnt count in a blowout)

I've been saying this all year (yes, even when we were 12 games under)...with this team, winning 10 in a row seems almost too easy

the only way I will count us out is if we are 15 games under .500 on Aug 1. either way, if we miss the playoffs, we wont miss by much

Awesome........HOOTERVILLE POST OF THE MONTH OF JULY.......
Only really pathetic teams miss the Playoffs by "much" with 6 Divisional Winners and two Wildcards.

"even" when the cubs were 12 games under, huh? they are all the way back to only 10 under now. kudos to you for calling that big move in the standings so early.

Cubs have only played 3 games against the division leader. That's a lot of games left to make up fast ground. But (Curb) that being said, they still blow.
