No more Captain Kirk. He was moved for a good reason, but if they knew what they know now, would the Bulls still have traded Kirk? I'm asking those on the board with a better NBA knowledge than me.(Everybody? :D )

Yes. It was a good move. Cap relief for a bloated contract of a guy who while a decent defender, far too limited an outside shooter at his position to meet their needs.

I'll miss his D but not his terrible shooting. Overall, good riddance. I'll take Brewer. I believe this is a good upgrade and at way less money.

Im not a fan of the move in hindsight. I liked that we unloaded his contract, and at that point the Bulls were the favs in the LBJ lottery.

However, the Bulls could have kept Hinrich and still had the flexibility to sign Boozer, Brewer, and Korver. That's what kills me. A perimeter core of the players we have now along with Kirk would have been stellar. Dont ever forget the Bulls played their best basketball last year when D.Rose was on the floor with Kirk.

I wasnt that big of a Kirk fan, but he knows what to do on a basketball court.

It had to be done. The Three Stooges were doing their best to make everyone think that they had a chance at landing one or more of them. I liked Kirk, but it wasn't that great of a loss overall...

im not as disappointed in losing him with the addition of brewer who i think is a similar player that shoots better. the only place i think they will be missed is his leadership as the longest tenured bull. hopefully derrick can step up and be a leader now

They wouldn't have moved him had they known they were only going to acquire one top free agent.

this is the other gigantic reason why lebron and wade are tools. les grobber said it, those two (especially wade) totally suckered everyone into dumping good players. it makes sense though, its obvious those guys are going to take any petty advantage they can.

kirk was above average. his shooting was very white, but so was his effort. i still think he hasnt matured fully yet... i wont be surprised if that guy becomes a sleeper cornerstone on some really good team...

They messed up a lot of teams, that's for certain. I wonder how Stoudamire (sp) is going to enjoy the Knicks. Somehow I think not...

He'll enjoy them more when Melo joins him in 2011.
