Also gonna have to agree that trade makes no sense for the Hornets. They desperately need shooters and swingmen. They dont need Harris cuz they have Collison.

Evan Turner is easily the 2nd most talented player in the draft.

Bills - also wondering how you can call Rose the best young PG in the league. I consider Deron and especially Rondo young. There's really no case to be made that Rose is better than either of them right now.

Ok lemme refresh ure memory. From about the time VC won the slam dunk contest up until he put his nuts on Frederic Weis' face, he was the best player in the world. Im referring to the 2000 season when he had a career best avg in points (27.6), shot 46% from the field and 40% from three. Was constantly the lead NBA story (Out of Toronto!!!), and was considered the best player on the 2000 olympic games in Sydney by his coaches and peers. A team that featured KG, J-Kidd, Gary Payton, Zo, and Antonio McDyess (Pre injury). All those players were near or in their respective primes, and they all gave it up VC. Ill never forget an interview w/ Rudy T (Coach of that team) who said in practice he'd run a drill where his guards and wing players would have to dribble the ball the entire length of the court against everyone else on the team (11 other players) with out turning it over. He said VC was the only player who could consistently pull it off.

It was a steady fall for Vince after that summer, but Im nvr gonna back down from my original statement. From about February to August of 2000 dude was the best player in the world. The league was terrible, but this guy made it fun to be fan again for a lot of people.

Deron Williams isnt young. He's 26. That's early prime years, but not young.

Rondo, idk, Im not that sold. 10 assists/game and 2.3 steals/game are impressive numbers for an entire season, but 13.7 ppg doesn make me worry about his jumper. Especially when he shot 21% from threes during the same season. Let's see what he does when he doesnt have Paul Pierce, or the one legged KG anymore.

And Rondo was good in the playoffs, but he was killing Mario Chalmers, Mo Williams, Jameer Nelson/Jason Williams, and a nearly retired Derek Fisher. He should have had his way with all those PGs. Derek Rose or Deron Williams would have torched that collection of shit as well.

Maybe Im just a Bulls homer, but id want D-Rose over Rondo. Cant say Id take Derek over Deron, but I dont consider Deron young. He's a five year vet.

Deron is 26, Rondo is 24, D-Rose is 21. Should I have said D-Rose is the best new born PG in the league cus he def isnt taking a backseat to many PGs?

Your Rondo love is absolutely insane. Have you started planning your trip to Springfield, Mass. for his hall of fame induction ceremony yet? He's really good but there are plenty of people that would rather have Rose, especially since Rose has been in the league two less years and plays on a team with significantly less talent.

Rose was 20.8 ppg/6 asts/ 3.8 reb
Rondo was 13.7 ppg/9.8 asts/ 4.4 reb

I don't think it's crazy to think that Rondo is better than Rose. He may be. He certainly looks better at times. Other times, Rose looks better. However, it's crazy to say that there is no case that can be made that Rose is better than the great Rajon Rondo. Glen Davis looks awesome on the Celtics too but I'm not convinced he's not benefiting greatly from playing with 3 future hall of famers also.

So you dont count defense when comparing players? Rose is probably slightly better overall offensively, he's obviously a much better scorer. Rondo is better in every other facet. Yes I do consider it absurd to suggest Rose is better than Rondo given they are pretty equal offensively and Rondo is head and shoulders better than Rose defensively and is a better rebounder. Like I said, overall it's really not close. Hopefully Thibs improves Rose's defense, because it really needs it

Rose is a far better offensive player. I mean it isn't really close. Rondo was given the chance to beat the Lakers on offense and he couldn't get it done because he can't shoot. Keep him out of the lane and he is just a guy. Obviously defensively there is a bigger gap. Rondo is arguably the best defensive PG in the league. That gives him the edge IMO. However in a league that values offense I could easily see how some people would think Rose is a better player.

The topic is "Chris Paul being shopped." Bills? You really think the Lakers wouldn't trade Odom, Artest or both for CP3? A trade like that would actually allow the Lakers to compete next year with the Bulls. The draft is over but why would the Hornets have wanted Harris and an unproven rookie when they have probably the best floor general in the game and a guy who showed he was more than capable in Collison? On a different note. D-Rose is clearly one of the top 5 PG's on any GM's list. To say that It's inarguable to take Rose over any of the aforementioned is ridiculous FavreFan. He's 21 and I believe he's 3 or 4 years from hitting his prime. If and when he develops something that resembles and NBA 3 he'll be close to unguardable. And don't forget he now has one of the best defensive minds in the game coaching him. When F/A is done I'll actually be sad for CP3. Actually I'll be sad for most of the League because as I see it, Chicago's going to dominate for a very long time. Unless James and Bosh goes to MIami. Then damn.

Bills! Simmer down. It's never fun when your wrong but what a man does is listens and learns. Not resort to picking out the only thing they know about someone and using it to try to make them look stupid. Cuz when you think about it, you look ignorant. I never meant to hurt your feelings by the way. Just stating my opinion. Oh and I picked this avatar kinda out of the blue. I was just trying to figure out how to get a picture up there. But don't worry, I'll change it as soon as I care to.

There is no way the Lakers are gonna trade Odom, Artest, or Gasol for a PG coming off a torn meniscus. Not gonna happen. Especially when Paul didnt hit 20 points once after coming back from the injury, or avg 10pts for the last 2 weeks of the season. HIS VALUE HAS PLUMMETED.

Thank you for taking my advice on ure avatar. I have a disdain for Wayne that has nothing to do with his homo thug-ness. He's just bad, and overrated.

I don't think for a second that the Lakers are going to get Paul and if it took Gasol to get him straight up, I'd be shaky on it. I'm just saying that the Lakers would pull the trigger if the contracts worked out and the deal was Odom or Artest for Paul. And I probably don't follow the league like a lot of you, but I'm not sure CP3 wont be a top 3 PG next year as long as he stays healthy. JMO

In an alleged wedding toast this past Saturday in New York, New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul predicted the formation of a big three with the Knicks involving himself and Carmelo Anthony — with the two joining newly acquired Amare Stoudemire in New York. Paul attended Anthony’s wedding, and there were no reporters present. But a person who attended reportedly said Paul made the comment. “I think a lot of people are just looking for LeBron (James) part two that are making assumptions and assertions,’’ New Orleans General Manager Jeff Bower said. “We can’t go down that road.’’

How much would the Magic have to give up? Instantly boosts the Knicks into Milwaukee Bucks NBA "Blob" territory.
