I"m not sure how I feel about this...at first I was going to put in the DB category because in a way its the same as Gilbert's shit talking about Lebron- far after the fact. As in it's easy to rip someone once they're not around anymore. But I think this situation is slightly different, he's actually claiming that Bosh had a "nuisance" injury that wasn't going to fully heal but that one would just have to play though and that Bosh refused to. Of course saying that it was probably because he had already "checked out". Also nice dig in that they tried to put different players around him and try various styles but couldn't succeed with him being the centerpiece of the team. Well let's see- I think Bargnani is a decent player but they probably overvalued him as a #1..that wasn't the greatest draft in the world but they could have had Roy. They way overpaid for Hedo. Calderon is about the only good find they made. Otherwise it was washed up has beens like Jermaine O Neal. Just presented a counter argument in that while I definitely think Bosh is a grade A douchebag and probably did quit, it's not like Colangelo put these great pieces around him

I liked Dan Gilbert's comments and thought it was a perfect thing to do to fire up a fanbase that just had the life sucked out of them. Colangelo's comments on the other hand are pretty ridiculous. The elbow Bosh took to the head was pretty serious and I know he fractured a couple bones in his nose and face. The nose injuries would probably make it pretty hard to breath while running up and down a court all night. Could he have played? Maybe. But if he wasn't at 100%, it probably wouldn't have mattered.

Well that's another argument too- he's going to play though injuries to get this team to the #8 seed to play....Lebron? i doubt it

He was medically cleared to full activity. Sounds like toronto wishes they have an equipment shed.

Yea Gilbert was talkin more about the ankle than the broken face. Bosh was cleared medically but ankle injuries are nagging and make playing uncomfortable so although he was cleared its still different when you're out there playing.

I understand that Tor and Cle are butthurt about all this but they should really be a bit more professional than this. The NBA is a buisness and teams are always the 1st to point that out. They shouldn't take it so personal when players feel the same way

Yeah it does come across as sour grapes but even though the Bulls were expected to get swept by the Cavs the fans still came out and were enthusiastic about the team down the stretch and through the series. If Bosh did indeed quit too, that's bad. It makes me think even more now that a Bosh-Lebron matchup in round 1 was probably meant to be avoided

Did he have surgery on his elbow? I know it was killing him in the playoffs. Usually at key moments in the game.

That's what separates the men from the boys. Kobe played with a long list of injuries to help his team win. In fact Kobe's finger will never be the same again because he played with the injury the majority of the season. If you are a star player trying to make the playoffs or win a title you should be willing to play with a nagging injury if you have been cleared to play. No one in professional sports gets paid to play ONLY when they are 100%.

I completely agree with you. I wasn't tryin to bail Bosh out but some men are made different. He's obviously made of softer material
